I'd love to have an 8 win season like everyone else, but the future is looking bright! I think Sellars is the guy next year, so getting him and some other young guys some reps in 4 games or so is also key.
The thing is, if our OL was just where it was last year, starting game 1, we'd be 2-0 with a chance at 10 wins with the way every team in our schedule outside of Georgia is struggling.
@thefighter5182 The freshman don't well against tied FCS players and having the tools doesn't beat one of the sharpest QBs in the country. He had 0 INTs and the third highest completion percentage, the only thing that kept him from the TDs in game one was the OL and lack of balance.

There is enough time for both to shine and take advantage of the opportunities that will be given to them. Just put yourself in Anderson shoes, you wouldn't complain about playing time. Furman had 384 yards on Clemson last year. We held Furman to less yardage than Clemson did last year. They’re a solid team and there’s a lot of good players in FCS.

Furman historical has always been one of stronger D1 FCS schools, But considering the caliber of what South Carolina is supposed be in, not only in the FBS level but the SEC. Playing in the most elite conference in the country I expect us to blow these lower schools out like we did when Wofford was on a row in 2017 until they came to Willy B and saw the difference in the levels of the gridiron.

Damn near the entire first half was scripted. Every single pass was 5 yards or shorter until the final minutes. That's because that pass blocking has continued to be trash. That's also why they were playing slow ball with Furman. Once they started going deep, it was all over.
