Hey everyone!
Today we are going over three cards from the Modern Horizons 3 set that we think will be cEDH staples. We will be going over how much the card will impact the format, and which decks we will be adding the cards to. If there's a card we didn't go over that you are looking forward to adding to your cEDH deck then let us know!

As far as new staples go- flare of cultivation for any deck that runs green & Warren soul trader for virtually anything that cares about sac. So many good new cards in this set I can’t wait to see how the meta shifts going forward. Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m also a fan of Amphibian Downpour. Great way to deal with annoying creatures after the pod storms off.
@@UnstableCommanders super fair. I threw that one into my Alela “nobody is allowed to play the game except me” deck and can’t wait to try it out on Tuesday

Except for the Eldrazi one. That one is garbage and shouldn’t be the most expensive in our opinion.
I would point at least two sleepers during the prerelease
Expanding Ooze - 1BG
Creature - Ooze
BG: Adapt 1. (If this creature has no +1/+1 counters on it, put a +1/+1 counter on it.)
Whenever Expanding Ooze attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on target modified creature you control. (Equipment, Auras you control, and counters are modifications.)

You may have Copycrook enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature on the battlefield, except it has "Whenever this creature attacks, it connives."

I once had someone summoned Expanding Ooze which I copy with Copycrook. My Copycrook was getting bigger faster than he was able to regain control.
Those two are great!
@@UnstableCommanders My opponent and I went; this card should been rare due to their power level as they keep getting stronger over time.
MH3 has so many awesome new includes for a ton of formats, I can’t wait to try them out!!
Super hyped for this set, lots of cool cards and reprints. Possibly thinking about adding vexing bubble to my commander deck!
It’s a staple! I’m thinking of adding it to Roxanne. The rest of my decks has at least 20-30 0 drops so it would be a big counter against myself haha.
Yeah, the flares are gonna be going crazy in cedh, free spells always shake up the format a big and it's fun to see. However it's good vexing bauble was printed with it lol

Was worried this simic precon would be super generic but it actually looks really fun to play!
I was thinking the same thing until Spit told me to check out the deck lists. Eldrazi sucks, this one has a $40 land, and the Jeskai is considered the best.
Honestly I think the free green spell is a must in most green/x decks for the ramp alone
One thing about cEDH is ramp isn’t really a thing besides mana rocks and dorks. Which is why green is the weakest in that format.

MH3 really came out of left field with this spice. I told myself I was going to calm down with product but that’ll have to wait
I just bought 2 packs and opened an Ugin’s Labyrinth lol. $42 card to trade for a retro frame Flare of Duplication.
MH3 is an insanely crazy set.
This deck blindsided me, i thought it was gonna be more random simic BS but its waaay better than i expected

I feel like emperor of bones might become playable in cEDH as a cheap way to exile cards in your opponents graveyards and maybe reanimated one?
Oh dang and it has Adapt??? It is a good way to stop Breach lines for sure.
@UnstableCommanders 2 mana to adapt, steal an opponents Dockside from their graveyard, and then it gets exiled at end of turn due to the finality counter. I don't know if it will be good, but it's worth exploring

That's what we were thinking too! On top of that, a top tier cEDH commander.
I find the cards in this set although having the name modern in it can work really well for commander but it seems like an amazing and fun set.
It works well with both formats. Like the other MH sets.
@@UnstableCommanders Yeah I know that, I just like the joke a lot of people are making about calling it commander horizons 3 instead, I'm also still learning the ropes of magic since I've only played for a year or two now.
Can't wait to see the crazy decks that come out of MH3. My wallet, however, is decidedly less excited.

Mutated Cultist is such a combo enabler it has to become viable in anything running Dark Depths style cards
It’s also a good way to get rid of annoying Planeswalkers.

The commander is pretty insane imo
Nadu’s been showing up on the top 4 in cEDH tournaments. Kinda tempting to build a deck, but I also refuse to build strong meta decks that always sees top 4 like Tymna/Kraum lol.

Haha we are considering shipping to Canada when we hit certain milestones.
Well, i'm looking forward to try Ripples of Undeath and Birthing Ritual on my ol' Grist, I know she's a bit slow but these two could speed up the quest for Protean Hulk a bit more. 🥹🍀
