Red Dead Redemption 2:
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a 2018 action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The game is the third entry in the Red Dead series and is a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption. The story is set in 1899 in a fictionalized representation of the Western, Midwestern and Southern United States and follows outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. Arthur must deal with the decline of the Wild West whilst attempting to survive against government forces, rival gangs, and other adversaries. The story also follows fellow gang member John Marston, the protagonist of Red Dead Redemption.

A few more I noticed - coyotes playfight with each other and dig up burrows, fish jump up waterfalls, cats catch rats, possums actually play possum :D
Big horn sheep, elk and deer also rut. I was completely taken aback when I first came across two bucks who'd been fighting and one of them had died but was still locked antlers with the other which was struggling to get free.

Unfortunately its partly innacurate, thats artic fox behavior, they turn white for winter and live further up north :)

i had killed an npc in the game and threw their corpse into a pig pen and the moment when the pigs started eating him was the moment i truly appreciated the work put into this game

You can clearly see where all those budget and time went into. Unlike ehem, that particular open world AAA title that just got released.

This game is the new benchmark for open world games, the details are insane it feels real and alive
Never once have i witnessed a bear back away from me if i stood tall against it. It always attacked me lol.

I've seen eagles catching snakes and flying off with them too!
I've seen two grey wolves playing with each other too. And owls swooping in to take snakes.
also opossum in this game always playing dead when we confront it, just like the opposum in real life
One of my favorite things to do, is tie people up and go near where theres bears or wolves and lay predator bait and let them eat the guy :)
I’ve seen rams fighting with each other
I’m liking every video in this series. No other TH-camr has covered these animation encounters and I absolutely knew there were more than the few I’ve discovered. I’ve seen eagles snatch snakes, I’ve seen hawks snatch fish, I’ve seen bison roll in grass, I’ve seen rams fighting, I’ve seen a buck trying to detangle from a dead opponent, and I could’ve easily missed a bunch. Best game

Ever notice this: Depending on the condition of an animal's pelt, it's pelt color will variate take for example, a poor pelt of a buck is whitish grey, a good pelt of a buck is sort of tan with a mixture of a shiny light brown, a pristine buck pelt is a shiny dark brown.
Wild boars will also eat carcasses! I had killed some wolves that attacked me but I only had two horses so I had to leave a couple of the carcasses behind. Came back a day later and some wild piggies were working on the carcasses :) I thought it was neat so I was watching from afar when a grizzly ran the boars off so it could have some food xD such an awesome game

And cats hunt mouse. Snakes hunt squirrels. Predators other animals. You can also watch deers fighting with their antlers.
Eagles also catch water snakes
And rattlesnakes.
And sometimes, when I'm trying to hunt panthers south of Rhodes, hawks will randomly shriek and fall out of the sky dead next to me for some reason.
Seriously, it keeps happening, and I don't know why. 🤔

Thank you so much friend, I began to be interested in the animal world in RDR2 and how much it worked out, because I could not believe that it was so realistic. I'm trying to catch the moment when some four-legged predator grabs its prey and eats it, I can’t do it, if you can show this moment please! You are the best!

do pigs remove human corpses faster than the game does naturally?
Not really. If you leave the area & come back the body will usually be gone but if you stand there & watch forever you can't really see any degradation of the body. Just the graphic blood spurting when the pigs start chomping.

The thing thats not reallistic is when wolves attack you, real wolves never attached humans before rather they are scared of them
I agree, they shouldn't have made the wolves aggressive 100% of the time, it's not their nature

But the wolves are so unrealistic. Real wolves are already afraid of humans will obviously run like crazy away from a gunshot. The wolves in rdr2 are not spooked by gunshots are a cartoonish killing machines.

The reality is not but it looks better and better 👌
Yet the spawn-distance of animals is so short that you can't really enjoy any of the immersion.
You playin on peasant consoles or low spec PC? Because I always see something special in animal behaviour all the time on ultra settings, and after 200 hours of gameplay I've yet to see anything spawning too close to me (except Saint Denis, everything there spawns like 70 meters away from you)

Have you ever seen an animal 1 kilometer away in this game? No, you haven't because it's not possible. The animals spawn and despawn in a very short distance - they appear and disappear randomly and catching its track is the only way from preventing an animal from despawning permanently.
@@Juri2711 Uhm yeah okay but what's your point? Are you going to name a game with 1km spawning distance of NPCs? Which also must be as content rich as RDR2

At least there are games where npcs don't despawn into the aether for others then randomly to spawn, but stay in the script and can be found again.
The point is that this is just a pretty trailer, while in game there is no immersion in hunting.
Unfortunatelly the animals in "the hunter" also despawn into the aether, but they can be tracked much longer. While Rockstar has the engine and money to make a great hunting experience, they waste it.
