Just went there last week and i had a great time. Boat rides, food, activities, was a good experience. Zip lines, dolphins, snorkeling and clear water amazing and even Zoo’s. the people were very educated and I couldn’t believe how great their English was. Overall 9/10 I did see a couple of people trying to sell me a lot of things which I ended up buying but I would go back to have a nice relaxing time with the family or even by yourself. 👍
Thank you for letting us know that with everything going on in the world this is still a beautiful planet with beautiful people ❤️. Another great video 📹 👏 ❤️ 💖.
Honduras has a good bunch of people who speak english. Read somewhere that about a 70% of its population can maintain a decent english conversation. That's why we are a strategic point for Call Centers.
La Bella Honduras. Roatan is one of the many beautiful gems Honduras has. Roatan is one of Hondura's Bay Islands: Utila, Guanaja and Roatan. Mainland Honduras has lots to see and do as well. Awesome places include the Pulhapanzak waterfall, La Ceiba, the beautiful colonial town of Comayagua, the waterfalls of Sabanagrande, the ancient Mayan ruins of Copan, the Omoa castle, lake Yojoa. Playa Cortes, Cayos Cochinos, Isla Las Almejas. just to name a few.
Hey Sly, you should check out Utila, it's about a 45min ferry ride from Roatan. My brother's a Scuba instructor there, real laid back island, much cheaper than Roatan and with a lot less people! Enjoy the videos man!!
The date with the most influx is in April because we have Holy Week and it is when more people travel to Roatan, Utila and do tourism if you went after the month with the most influx
Hey ma man this is a wonderful journey! One of those days I will be having that good time you're enjoying I see thanks for sharing all that man . Are you going to the city after?
Roatan is famous for its amazing offshore reefs and perfectly suited for both new and advanced divers. It's a well-known destination for coral gardens, shipwrecks such as the Odyssey and Aguila, sharks and all sorts of fish, but it's also famous for encountering the largest fish in the sea: the majestic whale sharks
Great stuff! I found Roatan too touristy and conservative for my taste, liked the vibe better on Utila, though it was 6 years ago. Hope you enjoy to the fullest!
Visited both Islands in the last couple months and I agree. Utila a chiller vibe because of all the scuba divers, very few tourists, more safer and fun night time activity on their main strip. Utila also soooo much cheaper but without big resorts like Mayan Princess, Grand Roatan, Infinity Bay etc. I can see why most families go to Roatan(I asked a waiter a Grand Roatan how much their nightly stay were and she said it was over $500-$600 dollars a night, and not even all inclusive resort either, just free breakfast). Also, the airport is a big life saver for Roatan, because the ferry ride to Utila is torture. Not a huge ferry so once you hit the open sea you are bouncing around A LOT. They hand out garbage bags on the ferry because most people who do ride it end up getting sick. I definitely got nauseous both arriving there and departing but was able to hold in my vomit 😂🤣 West Bay Beach is undefeated though. No coral and just clean white sand and probably the clearest water you'll ever see on a beach. Utila you can barely walk while in the water on the beaches because its all coral reef. Do love both islands for their individual traits, and definitely plan on visiting both again
@@Sammy_SukliashUtila has an airport as well. The ferry can really suck if there are waves. Roatan definitely wins in the beaches category, but I still preferred Utila. Both places are very touristy, Utila is more laid back with mostly divers/backpackers no and cruise ships like Roatan...it also has more of a party vibe. I don't know if they still do it, but the full moon parties on water caye were dope! Roatan to me is more for families, upscale divers.
Love the videos Sly, would love to connect if we cross paths in LatAm sometime. Have you thought about Chile? I’ve been considering it in part for the strong internet.
Man, there are tons of places like that in the surroudings of Salvador- Brazil, one of them was, recently, considered one of the best beaches in the world. "Morro de São Paulo" Close to Salvador, and you missed all that. At least you have some of it now. :)

Incredibly clean and looks so relaxing. I'm so impressed and I can't believe how many people speak English there.

@@mpleandre just a heads up, only use 'an' before a word that begins with a vowel. If it doesn't, use 'a'. So it should be "a strategic point" :)
@@mierypesado6740 OMG and I actually wrote it that way before but thought leaving it in "a" would be a mistake. Thanks!
This part of Honduras was ruled by the British!
@@ocj305 That makes sense. So was Belize at one point. Every Honduran I met in Belize didn't speak English

Come visit me if you still on the island I’m in Punta Gorda the original home of the Garífuna people here in Honduras
Nice beach.
Thanks for the video. May I ask: What all did you have to do as far as "travel requirements" to get into Roatan?
Nothing really, you just go to la ceiba and get into the ferry and you are there, its just normal honduran territory
What about the afternoon mosquitos, is there any or none? Cause some beaches here in Mexico there’s awhile bunch of them.
Viva Honduras

Are gas prices at outrageous levels in Honduras? Just curious if you noticed it during your travels.
We are the country with the cheapest price of gas in Central America. but...idk
Yes its 6 bux a gallon lol atleast here on roatan
They speak good English, because is an official language in the islands.
You should come to Cayman Island
Great video would be super helpful to add the cost of things.
Just a tip.
