Hey, I bought one and noticed that there is a foam with ties around one of the wires in the back. Am I suppose to take that off or leave it on? Please be gentle with the comments.... I’m new to appliance hook up / unpacking on my own.
Leave it. Its probably insulation for an exposed wire
Yes agree don’t remove it. It’s insulation for the wires to protect it from accidental rubbing
I moved into an apartment. This came with it. Brand new. I noticed the back wall had a thin layer of ice on it. Wasnt really sure what to think of that. I believe the temp was set to five. I think my mom adjusted it slightly to 4.5. I have been here about a week and had a mini diet coke that was sitting near the back of the rerigerator. It froze and exploded. A bottle of water was also frozen solid. I thought a fire cracker went off and realized what happend when I open the refrigerator door this morning. I had hamburger patties I made up last night and packed them for my lunch. They appear froze. mayo was in the refrigerator door and that appears it may have partially frozen or it got too warm. So what am I doing wrong? I put my meat thermator in the fridge to see how cold it is getting. I don't have much food in my fridge. No idea if that makes difference.
The temperature should be set at 3 to 3.5 . Unplug the fridge and let the ice melt. Just make sure you have place to put your food. After melt just plug back in and set temp to 3 or 3.5 and that is it.
I've got a stupid question do you turn the 5 towards the blue thingy or away I'm lost the instructions are weird and very small help if you can cause it's not cooling think I got it done wrong

Hey is anyone’s drinks cold ? My freezer seems cold but the fridge does not. My fruit was still cool. I put bottles of water that didn’t get cold. It was just cool. I’m pretty sure it should feel just as cold as out of my full size fridge , right ?
Yeah we have had eyes for 3 months it doesn't seem cold enough and now our ice cream will not freeze all the way but other things like meet will Kenmore mini fridge was way better

normally its loud in beginning because its trying to cool itself down, after it settle its not loud. you can place it in garage area if it bother you

You have to defrost every 6 month as the instruction said. I think that is what you asking. I'm just a regular user.
I'm trying to find a small refrigerator like this that is NOT FROST FREE because during hurricane season if the power goes out Regular FROST FREE refrigerator/ freezers Cannot be short cycled, this means a frost free refrigerator with top freezer will cycle trough each of its 3 or 4 cycles where at some point it auto defrosts "UNDER POWER" for a set time. If the unit(Refrigerator/freezer) is powered by an inverter generator, the generator will have to run constantly to support the unit's "cycling". BUT a refrigerator/Freezer THAT IS NOT FROST FREE only cycles on to power the compressor to cool the refrigerator/Freezer cabinets to the set /select level(1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5) then shuts off.@@newbie-r-usquestionsanswer7822

You just unplug it and let it sit there. You suppose to do it once a year or when you have ice build up
