I ordered mine today. The optical quality of this lens is amazing and equal to the V series lenses. Just an amazing lens to complete my kit. It meets my requirements and needs perfectly. ❤❤
This is exactly my focal length... but this system keeps making me want to get it less and less with each release. I might change from my GFX 50R to a X2D 50c if they drop in price significantly, but I'll keep all my modified and adapted lenses instead of the new stuff.
I think the best execution of a medium format 75mm lens is perhaps the Pentax SMC AF one. Super small and light, great imaging, reasonable price. Love it to bits
You know it's serious business/expensive when Kai is using a camera strap as more than an accessory. When I rarely use medium format, I'll stick with my big boy Pentax 645Z and a mountain of 645 lenses from old to new. I don't need micron depth of field and my G9.ii has done surprisingly well for even portraits while using handheld hires (if I need the resolution/clarity bump, 25mp is fine for where my contracted images end up).
Thankyou Kai, a newbie question I am mainly interested in portrait photography, with 907x 100c what is most economical lens option, will be ‘bankrupt’ with the price of body!
I'm debating this verse the 90. I currently shoot on a Sony A73 and one of my favourite lenses is my 85. I have a X2d Hasselblad on order and I'm wondering about getting 90 or this lens any thoughts? One of my favourite shots to get with the 85 are candids of people doing things.
I'm really curious about Fuji's relationship with Hasselblad. After all, their collaboration at the end of the film and the beginning of the digital era was very close. But now they are the only players in the segment... I mean, if you don't count the phase one, which sells in such quantities that the sales managers know all their users by name.
Why these "medium format" lenses (smaller then the smallest medium format filme size) never have bigger aperture than f2.8? I remember the absurd Planar 120mm f2, what was a portrait monster
Hasselblad’s marketing campaign to get the cameras in the hands of all creators makes me think they are pushing people to get locked into the lens system over body. With the leaf shutter, you’re stuck with the X2D system and with a X3D system around the corner, the push now for people to get lenses makes sense. Just something I’ve been thinking about on why they are getting these in the hands for people we watch.
What Hasselblad needs is a lens with some bokehliciouss character and shallow depth of field. This lens has neither. It looks great though, love the tubular design, looks sleek and elegant, but can't justify the price just for high contrast, sharpness and corrected aberrations. Rendering is too hyper-real with all of those new lenses, need some character and spice for a change, not constant perfection.

The value of this system is very questionable. You can pull some pragmatic justifications on the Fuji GFX. Although I will still say that 35mm can do everything now. But as for the Hasselblad, there is only leaf shutter, and there's nothing more to talk about.
GFX 50S regularily sells for about 1400GBP, I bought my 50R for 1200GBP half a year ago cause it had a broken dial and some scratches on the body... any camera above 3k for a body is super questionable and more gimmick than value if you ask me...
@@KNURKonesurand you can get a used Hasselblad x1d which was released the same year, and has the same sensor, for exactly the same price. Not sure I understand your point

BACK TO BACK TO BACK Kai W vids!?!?!?.... IMMA GOBBLE EM UP
Long live the actual camera 📸. Shooting with a smartphone doesn't excite me like a finely manufactured and designed tool like this
Thats it...damn...exactly my focal length...cant justify not buying this system anymore

I think we might need a video of your current grab-n-go street photography setup...Lok's too.
As a Canon guy for 15 years im saving for a Hasselblad aha
Keep saving. You may be able to buy one of these models that are being released now in 2087
a second hand X1D sells for 1700 quid, the 907x for 3000, it's only if you want a new X2D 100c where you see ridiculous pricing
Great video! Loved it ☑️

Did Kai forget to add music?

It seem they h no relationship.
Is that a 75mm lens in your pocket, fnarr.

Full-frame Sigma 65 f/2, one stop brighter for 1/3 of the price.

I think I will stick with my A7 IV + Sony 24-70mm f2.8 GM 2
