Q: What’s the function of the Xiaomi Wi-Fi Extender Pro?
A: This product is to extend the WiFi coverage area but NOT to boost the WiFi signal
✅ Broaden WiFi coverage area to dead zone at home by placing the product in the middle spot of Router and dead zones
❌ Insert Sim Card to get WiFi
❌ Function as Broadband
❌ Boost WiFi signal or speed (e.g. from 1MBps to 5MBps)
【Things to take note 】
1. Please be advised that this product does not work with sim-based router, pocket wifi, mobile hotspot and public WiFi.
2. Only support 2.4Ghz WiFi.

Q: Always stuck in “internet connection time out”
✅ Apps Setting
1. Make sure the Apps region is set as Malaysia or Singapore, but not China Mainland.
2.The Wi-Fi our phone connected is the same with the Wi-Fi we choose in the Apps. It has to be 2.4 GHz.
3. If the above does not help, restart WiFi router. In some cases, customer need to call their Internet Service provider (e.g. Maxis and Unifi) to reboot the internet.

It's not easy to setup. This little shit is nightmare to setup. I hate that application called "Mi Home" it works like shit. Even in my scooter I get same connection errors. 3rd party apps work better but in this wifi extender I have to use that shit app. Why the fuck this device does not have an web ui to access from ip address. I've been trying to setup this shit for 2 hours. (I'm usign this device for years, once it setup it works as intented but sometimes it loses connection for nothing and I can not connect the device with app so I have to reset and nightmare starts!)

When i move the extender after setup it doesn’t connect back to wifi , how do i fix that?

not sure if someone can help, i have set it up and it's working but the internet speed is halved. I have a 50mbps line but on the extender i only get 25mbps. Is there any fix to it?
You sure about the region? Because before it must be Mainland China so it wont error

Connect the device to the network always failed
probably because the repeater is wifi gen 5 (aka wifi 5) but your router is wifi 5 (or even more). you should downgrade your router to wifi 4 (aka 802.11 b+g).
I was wrong. The repeater is wifi 4. but it only worked when i changed my router settings to wifi5. it is weird that router as wifi 4 could not connect with the repeater

This worked for me: i downgraded my router from wifi 6 to wifi 5. it is weird that the extender wifi 4 but it only connected to my router as wifi 5 and not! as wifi 4
Piece of crap doesn’t work and always timed out and keeps blinking and won’t even connect. I have followed all steps but still nothing, wasting money
help, the xiaomi-repeater-v3 is not appearing, and if i reset my repeater using the small pin, the blinking doesnt change
open bluetooth, and connecti to the repeater wifi to set it up
Not working
After 1:08, "connecting device to network" failed. At here, the LED has tuned to Blue. Once the repeater LED turned to blue, it is impossible to add device to Xiaomi Apps. Which means I can't rename the SSID and password. I've checked my phone wifi still connected to the same 2.4g. I've forgeted my 5g wifi, I've also switch off "auto connect to best wifi" on my phone
I've reset (using pin) multiple times and the problem is consistent
However, the repeater is working where the SSID is originalssid_plus and the password is same with original wifi. It's just that I can't add the device to Xiaomi Apps to rename the SSID and password

@@nkrimaimou naah finally now i can change the password and the name of the Xiaomi repeater
I tried to rename my SSID wifi network to something short without numbers and special symbols. Set the region in mainland china (Mi home app) and new wifi_plus works, but wifi extender still can not connetct to app. So at least my extender is somehow working, but it´s a peace of shit and I will never buy their product again.
This router doesn't work with the Mikrotik, it's too bad.
Did you maybe got it to work? Did you try to downgrade your wifi?
