Thank you so much for this video! I was about to send my milk off to be made into jewelry but after seeing this, I’m so excited about actually working through the process myself. Appreciate it!
Thank you so much for sharing!! I'm definitely going to order this! I'm nursing my little one (first and only baby). I'm so excited! I've been wanting a piece of breastmilk jewlery, but this makes it so much more special! This is going to be my birthday present!
So nicely done. Seeing the process helps to see that it's totally 'doable'! And the possibilities are endless. Thank you so much for creating these videos...👌❤👏💞💐
I am currently combo feeding my second baby, and I definitely need to make some jewelry with both my breast milk and some formula powder. I will probably make some with just formula, too, since my first was exclusively formula fed. I can't wait!
Thank you for the video, i am looking to make some jewelry with the milk of my son that transition from the earth's side. I probably add some of his precious ashes.
Probably as long as the stone fit! I still have preserved breastmilk in the podwer form even from doing this 3 years ago, it would too easy to make another stone even now!
Can you send me the link to the necklace you bought and the mold you used please I can't seem to find them. I actually already have a kit on the way to make the milk into powder from somewhere else. Also you know the tall crystal mold. How do you make that into a keyring or something else?
Hey.. I'm from India.. Can you help me with some local business, where I can get a kit like that.. Ordering that to India will cost me three times the actual price..
@@NewLittleLife I seem to be having a hard time navigating the site. I found the kit on etsy's. But I don't see where I can customize. ALSO, if making rings does the kit comes with the glue
ALL resin yellows with time. ALL of it. it's impossible to have resin that doesnt yellow. let's just be clear on that. it doesn't matter if you use the super expensive resin that goes on boats or the stuff sold at Michaels, it all will yellow with time.
Makes me think that saving some of the preserved milk in a little baggie would be a good idea so that when your jewlery yellows too much, you can mix up a new batch of resin with what you have left of preserved powder and reuse the same mold to re-socket the new jewlery
@@pulce-kz9to it's most likely just a combination of potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, and Plaster of Paris with a smidge of talc powder. The Plaster is what allows it to cure hard so that you can grind and make a powder. The potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate are preservatives that will inhibit and prevent the growth of bacteria and fungus/mold. Talcum will help prevent moisture in the mixed resin. This will help keep it safe and stable long term after mixing with resin. Citric acid might work also. But it would most likely eat through the resin by itself unless you add sodium benzoate also. It will neutralize the acid. I have not tried the citric acid so I can't vouch for it. So, you could use citric acid maybe, but only if you use sodium benzoate also. Those are all cheap ingredients you can find at most stores and coincidentally all those ingredients are white so it won't change the color of the milk powder. You will have to play with the ratios a bit at first though. Everyone keeps this formula such a big secret when all you have to do is talk to a few food scientists or chemists and they can tell you what the "proprietary formula" is. Hopefully this helps.
This is true. It has to be made mostly of resin though or it wouldn’t be hard, this is not uncommon for any kind of resin based jewellery. I used more milky podwer in mine and is sunk to the bottom (which was the front) so i could easily see the breastmilk in the necklace. It turned out beautiful.
Breast milk is a very POOR source of Casein. I get this question on my channel. I will direct them to you. The subject grosses me out. My sister looked at me like I had just grown a third eye. And she is my moral compass, so...
with all the proteins and natural ingredients found inside breast milk it sounds like you're wasting great food which can be donated to babies who do not have the privilege of drinking their mothers milk. all the best
It only takes 5ml to make a large amount of jewellery. It’s a great way to celebrate the hard work it takes to feed your child. Many mothers use old or expired breastmilk for things like jewellery which is otherwise wasted.
Are you serious right now?? Her milk her choice. And you don’t just donate 5oz of milk. To even donate milk you have to go through tons of steps and have a lot more than a little 5 oz of milk. Moms want a keepsake. Nobody owes nobody any of their milk. Are you even a mom??

Sooo beautiful i want to order the kit but i can't find the necklases ,where did you get them from?
And im curious i bought a kit somewhere else and the rasin was rubbish. What brand or type rasin did she use and can you order those with them?
May will u tell how to make preservation powder?

How long did you double boil the milk?
Unfortunetly they dont ship to the Netherlands. Do you know how much grams preservation powder they used with the on 5 ml breastmilk?

I am not sure! It was part of the kit :)
Thanks for this video

Where buy this peresvation powder
Is delivery of the kit is available to India

When add preservation powder in breast milk the structure is not smooth paste it's small granules it's the exact structure
Could you in theory freeze dry the milk vs “cook” it?
For jewelry making, I’m not sure! It’s not my area of expertise to be honest :)

I’m the Etsy shop linked below, they should have just the molds to purchase if you want

What Is the mm size for the normal Pandora bead ?
Can kit be used to make placenta jewelry?

How much rasin is in the bottles? A and in B

Has the milk turned yellow at all yet?
Nope! Still looks as good as the day I made it 💕
Everything I have seen is that you need to wear gloves when working with resin. I think you’re also supposed to wear a mask or respirator.
Yes, you should wear gloves 🙈

I don't know! You'll have to ask the shop owner.

Nope! It’s all hardened with resin :)
Thing though, is that the colour is coming more from the paste than the breastmilk itself

So you didn’t have to let your milk sit and then take the fat off the top??
Nope, just mixed it all together!
So these jewellery needs to be protected from water? I was think of a ring that I can wear the whole time
With it being made in resin, you shouldn't have any issue if they get wet. The resin should preserve it
