Thanks for the review - did you find in your games that the best strategy is to simply have only 2 fighters and make them as strong as possible for winning tournaments? It happened in all our 4 games and we are kinda meeeh for playing again :/
That's typically what I have tried to do (stack 2 fighters) but sometimes when the better fighter cards come out, they are already ahead of whatever I was able to get my first fighter up to so it makes sense to take on a third one.
yes but you have to risk and take an extra slot for them in previous rounds - which doesn't allow your master to accelerate other fighters :// anyways - I do enjoy playing it overall :)
Did you not feel like it was imbalanced? During my play we found that the best thing was to just max out dice with fists, and the other dice couldn't take enough fists away to keep you from winning. Also several of the fighters are just OP
While the "best strategy" seemed obvious (building up your fists and/or blocks) the worker placement slots are limited, so the second/third/forth players are going to have to take alternate strategies, and I felt like there were plenty of good options for people to choose from (take the first player marker, learn special moves, etc). And then you never know how you'll actually end up rolling the dice either. I went into one battle fully stacked with red dice and still got my butt handed to me :) lol! -Will
I wouldn't say "fiddly." I mean, it's dice, so it's obviously random to a certain extent :) We enjoyed the higher player counts more because in a 2-player game there is a lot of AI to resolve which has the potential to be anti-climactic I'm sure.
Just throwing this out there, but the mic receiver on the yeti mic is on the front (above the logo), you're using your mic backwards-ish :P
Haha! Yeah, I believe we actually had it set on Surround Record (or whatever the full circle is) but that's good info!

thanks for your thoughts on this Jessie! I'll check with Will and Sara on this. -Kevin

Is it good with 2?
it's ok with 2. They have AI characters to help, but 4 players is great!
I liked it with 2, but it seemed to take a while to resolve the AI. 3 or 4 is better for sure :)

Heard the combat is quite fiddly and anti-climatic with that serpentine grid... Did you think so? Tks

I am confused... this game was launched in 2015 and the Dice Tower for example reviewed it about 1 year ago... Is this a 2nd edition?
I believe it was licensed to CMON and they revamped it.
