Nice video! It is always wonderful to visit a place and do what the locals do and eat like the locals. I enjoy that more than the fancy downtown places, it just let you feel the place rather than just visiting it.
On the many trips to Madeira I always looked forward to the Sunday market at Santo da Serra. But seriously, breakfast on the way there? I am surprised you are so skinny ;-)
Just wanted to thank you for making these vids, we are currently exploring Madeira on two motorbikes and you've inspired lots of places to visit. Such a beautiful island and thankfully it it didn't continue raining like Saturday! The twisty mountain roads are today's challenge.
Local's tip: go to the market before 10am. It's way less crowded and easier to park. From 10h30/11h am all the tourists buses start to arrive and it's complete mayhem. Make sure you eat early too if you want to have lunch there or else you won't be able to find a table. Or you can buy something and go eat in the Quinta do Santo da Serra. There are a plenty of picnic spots and there's some animals too, like ducks, horses and deer. If you walk around there, you will find a viewpoint where you can see Ponta de São Lourenço and Porto Santo island. Hope you enjoy it!

I wouldn’t bet on a Sunday, lots of places are closed (cable car mostly) with regards to tours, some companies work on Sundays. Just a matter of doing some research ;) cheers!
