Another great hunt Gordon with some great finds, i thought at first sight the silver was a hammered but a George 3rd sixpence is still a great find along with the Roman coin. Great stuff mate 🙂👍👋 Tony
hi Tony thanks for watching and commenting, appreciated as usual...what a great feeling to find that Dupondius in that condition, take care all the best to you n yours, GL&HH Gordon.
What lovely portrait on that Roman bronze, if you have any try and coat it in Renaissance Wax to help stop the loss of patina because the bust may start to deteriorate if it isn't sealed with wax. Excellent George 111 Bullhead sixpence, they are always good to find, a nice bit of silver. All the best Wendy and Jon
Thanks Wendy & Jon..that's the first thing i do to any bronze that i find, and over the years ive been lucky enough to find at least 3 or 4 G 3 sixpences and shillings in very good condition, thanks for looking in...all the best GL&HH Gordon.
