Thanks Caroline! The landscape and weather really delivered on this one. Such a memorable couple of nights. So glad you enjoyed! I’ll share more of our meals going forward :)
I just wanted to say having discovered your channel a few days ago what a terrific job you are doing. Your videography and storytelling skills are off the charts and the way you focus on the landscapes rather than the boat is much appreciated for a sailing channel. Plus I love your energy which is really calm and with a sense of humour, still laughing about diesel mechanics, not being rocket science, except for me, I feel the same way about engines.
Hi Evan, so stoked you discovered us! And thank you so much for your feedback and kind words. We really appreciate that so much. Our recent seasons on the water as well as the time spent fixing up our boat has taught us a lot about patience, keepin' calm, and not taking it all too seriously. Awesome that comes across in the vids! Really glad to have you aboard! Are you a cruiser as well or currently land based?
Haha it’s def not kosher but hauling up hand over hand def keeps you fit! We’ve had our bow roller and bow sprit plan on the to do list for a while, but the list is very long and we hate to miss out on sailing, so here we are!
Amazing views, music, editing, narration as always. I so look forward to these videos. I can’t imagine motoring/ sailing into an unknown bay for the night, exciting. Cooking your dinner over the fire on shore, the smells of the forest and the fire must have been lovely. Thank you for taking us along, exquisite. Chris
Another great video! The amount of care you put into make these videos is greatly appreciated. Love the music, the way the scenes are put together, and the way the story is told. Wonderful!
Thanks so much for that Bob, really glad you're enjoying the videos. Makes us want to keep making them! Looking forward to sharing more with you, cheers!
None of us would have ever known that such beautiful vastness existed unless you shared it with us. Thank you for including the maps to put into perspective. I could smell that campfire on the beach.❤😊
What a wonderful experience with the moods of the weather to see where you are in the different light. Looking forward to seeing the boat kitten. See ya next week
another end to the PNW boating season and here I am pining for more after watching your videos. Fellow boater who had his season cut short by 3 weeks with mechanical issues on my vintage wooden trawler. thanks for the awesome vistas and memories of places near and dear to this sailors heart. #thegreenboater
Awe sorry to hear, hope you’re getting it all sorted! So glad you’re enjoying the vids, thank you! we’ve just started releasing our most recent szn of sailing so you can look forward to those!
@@AllisonandJamesSailing thx for the encouraging reply. Well you know part of the joy of boating is maintaining and fixing. haha. gotta love this life! safe sailing.
Thank you YT recommended videos! Really glad I stumbled across your channel. I hit that sub button with a quickness! I haven’t seen anyone else doing what you’re doing… It seems like the rest of the planet has at least 10 or 15 other folks sailing to all the same places and it’s nice to see someone doing something different!
This is such a nice comment to read today, thank you and so stoked you found us! We're not really bikini's in the Bahamas sort of folks haha! This is some of the best cruising in the world in our opinion, we're really looking forward to experiencing more of it!
Great videos! We are second year sailors living in northern Alberta and spend our summers sailing the gulf islands. We watch your videos to get ideas for trips. We sort of consider you two as a scouting posse lol. I cant imagine the stories you could tell.
That is awesome!! Love hearing how people blend landlubber & seafaring time! LOL scouting posse, that’s excellent, we might use that!! We have a few stories up our sleeves for sure, glad you enjoy the ones that we publicly share in here 😆We’ll save the rest for beers in a shared anchorage someday, Cheers!
Another fantastic video, thank you for sharing. Ps I sure don't like the way that engine turns over when you go to start it, it sounds like your battery is almost done.
Thank you for watching :) Sounds like we need drop the trap deeper for prawns! The fish was a lingcod we had caught the day before. Didn’t have any luck with fishing and crabbing the last few days but that’s the way it goes sometimes!
Great stuff. I just found your channel. I also just bought a 30 foot sailboat I'm in Campbell River and will hopefully be spending the summer sailing from here up to the Broughtons so I hope to see you out there. Thanks for the vids.

@@AllisonandJamesSailing Seems we're birds of a feather. I bought a 1973 Bayliner Buccaneer. It's like an RV on water. I'm in deep Bay right now working on it. I also own a 1973 VW bus and I see you've got an old Airstream. Nothing beats those sweet sweet curves of classic vehicles. My outboard is a mercury, like yours and I am also without a windlass. Just found your channel and started at the beginning and now am here, enjoying the videos very much, very inspiring! Awe so glad you found us, happy to hear you’re really enjoying the videos! To answer your questions: we both took a pause from working in healthcare in order to focus on our goal of sailing to Alaska. We downsized our life to the trailer while working and saving money in order to be able to purchase and outfit the boat. Correct James is a nurse. I am a registered Dietitian. We still work constantly haha myself on filming and producing the videos as well as other side jobs during the winter months. James is still very much employed as a nurse. As it looks right now he crams 12 months of work into 7 then we are able cruise the spring and summer months. We wish we could be out there more, but that’s where its at currently. We’ve been cruising primarily May-September, the weather is pretty wet and chilly during the Spring, warming up mid-July to September, but then the fog rolls in! Hope that’s helpful, cheers!
