This is a very good ride, I also love how they incorporate how you leave and return to the Disneyland park. I also like how when they call iron man he is in the meet and greet making it seem like he is the real one! It's such a great ride!
I'm kinda disappointed that it's exactly like Star Tours but I guess you can't do much for a ride like this without it looking too much like Spider Man or Transformers in Universal Studios.
Andy Hirth To be fair, this ride and Star Tours is just you sitting in one room. Universal, however, has vehicles which takes you into screen heaven in every room with effects lol! I guess it's better in a way.
@@gissneric so an actual moving ride vehicle with live special effects and moving mechanical set pieces is not as good as a standard wobble and shake projection screen simulator?
The music at 2:17-2:43 is the same as Test Track at Epcot! Cool to hear a piece of music being heard at two completely different attractions across the world from each other.
One big advantage of screen rides is that they can cycle the ride theme periodically just by programming a new movie, which you obviously can't do with a coaster.
If that's not RDJ doing the voice, it sounds kind of like him. I wish they could get the real actors to voice the rides, like I hope they do that for the Guardians ride that's coming. Great video!
A lot of people complain about this ride, but I think it's cool especially the tributes to Epcot and Progress City. The Leaving Disneyland is a unique touch that makes it feel more real, kinda like the ending of Soarin'.
At 0:44, Howard Stark looks eerily similar to Walt next to the original Epcot map (second picture from left). Also, looks like they're going to have to update this attraction soon (3:15). Thank you folks for filming this! Excellent work as always; much appreciated!
Hell, especially by recent Disney standards! They’re making some of the best rides ever with Flight of Passage and Rise of the Resistance, they’re better than this!
I think EPCOT will win its popularity if this replaces the abandoned Body Wars as well as the whole Wonders of Life pavilion. Either that or include the TRON Lightcycle coaster, which will be Walt Disney World's answer to Revenge of the Mummy.
That won't happen because according to Universal and Marvel's Theme Park contract, Walt Disney World and Disneyland are not allowed to make a simulator ride based on any Marvel character, as they don't want anything similar to the Spider-Man ride at Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando. All of Disney's International parks (excluding Tokyo), however, can bypass these rules.
@@rubiks_20 Universal Studios Japan has its own Spider-Man ride (it’s a clone of IOA’s) which means Tokyo DisneyLand can’t make a Marvel Simulator ride like the other international parks can.

Why does everyone keep saying this is basically star tours, this isn't the first time Disney used this Tyler of attraction for something other than Star Wars *cough*body wars*cough*
Anthony Fins that was back when Disney was slipping. Them making another clone of a ride wasn't seen as redundant. Peter Pan, the Haunted Mansion, and the People Mover all use the same ride system. The difference now is that Disney is this gargantuan company now, owning Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, ESPN and many more. They have the creative license, the talent, and the manpower to create the most innovative attractions in the world. which they do. Just on certain occasions (Shanghai Disneyland)
I feel like this is going to be a easy way for disney to change Tomorrowland in California. They can update Star Tours to this, change Buzz Lightyear to AntMan like what is happening at Hong Kong as well. And then basically Tomorrowland turns into Stark Expo.
Disney doesn't do anything that isn't related to a movie now it seems.... so when they update tomorrowland, it will be themed with stuff from movies most likely. Im pretty sure they were hoping the movie Tomorrowland would be a big hit so maybe they could do some sort of tie in down the road but we all know that movie was sub par. I just hope after Star Wars Land opens, Tomorrowland gets the much needed attention it deserves.
