as someone who started with elden ring, got all achievements on elden ring, sekiro, ds1, and ds2, and beat the og demons souls a few times, i will say that this is my second favorite of all the ones ive played. elden ring is my favorite cuz boss fights are my favorite part to soulsborne games, but this is a close second. there are a few bosses that are really annoying in my opinion in the early stages, but not too much longer until you are through with them. also, the dlcs for this game are excellent, it has 4 of the best bosses in the entire game and trilogy in my opinion, so i have high hopes for the elden ring dlc also, i personally also hated the greatwood boss as it is the only boss in this game, dlc included, to take me more than an hour, but i have now beaten it three times so, while you dont need it now it may be useful for like ng+ or something, some tips for it is either using a fire infused weapon or buffing your weapon with fire pine resin as it is really weak to fire damage, and there are more eggs around its body that give that big damage and also stun it when destroyed (with a fire weapon it is basically 1-2 shot to destroy the smaller eggs)
I know it's up to you on how you wanna play, but if you want to have more fun playing this game id recommend exploring and taking your time in the areas. I know it seems kinda boring at first but you will be rewarded and it's rlly fun finding hidden loot and stuff. You've missed a lot of loot that could have turned the greatwood into a piece of cake
I’ll probably go back to old areas soon, I just like learning the area I’m in without dying a lot. My most powerful weapon is at +1, so I’m guessing exploring is going to become necessary soon.
