The whole roofline is called a battlement. The part sticking up are the merlons, the lower parts are crenels.

When you put your embellishments on foam stickers do they get mashed down in the scrapbook?

No, they don't get smashed down; they're pretty firm. They can bulk up your album, though, if you use them on every page. They just add a pleasing dimension to clusters of stickers/embellishments. Thanks for watching!
