@@jonothandoeser it’s definitely not for people who like speed this is more for basic people like me that like regular suv but also don’t mind extra bonus it isn’t made for spot car heads
Own the 250, and I am not a crossover guy. Feels more like a hot hatch, which I’m that guy. 250 is surprisingly faster than expected and it will satisfy 95% of the people who shop this class of car. But I’ve mistakenly shot myself in the foot by indoctrinating my wife to the performance level versions of cars. Started with a Speed6 all the way through to an S6. So while she and I do like the 250. The 35 does intrigue us, a lot. It wasn’t available when we purchased the 250. Thinking about going to the dealership to take a test drive. Is it worth the step up?
Kudos for your comments on Apple CarPlay! It’s so ridiculous that the CarPlay screen on the MBUX is now shrunk into the middle. It’s a regression from the previous COMAND system!
I really like the GLB for it's car like driving dynamics and non SUV-like weight. However, I ended up with a buying a used 2017 Q7 3.0T and do not regret it one bit. Q7 has the engine in the correct orientation (longitudinal) and has a firm yet refined suspension tuning with limited roll, squat and dive. It definitely drives smaller than it is and the AWD just sticks. The V6 supercharged engine sounds great and I have a ton of room for my family. My 5 year old son loves the panoramic sunroof and the roomy 2nd row.
This car is for regular people like me who like regular suv and extra speed and amg badge as a bonus but it’s not for people who like speed and sport cars
Mate, this is an suv for someone like me, who wants "a bit... A bit of fun" and also has 3 kids... The review style for this car should be completely different, you have to review this as a "dad's" perspective, if I did this kind of driving the whole family would be throwing up...
Exactly . I'm a new dad of 2 . Its perfect for our young family. And when they are not in the car- I can have a bit of fun in sport plus mode. Bought it 9 months ago and no regrets
It's so odd that the cheaper cars in this range from other manufacturers like Toyota provide so many features for free which are expensive options on this...
Well Mercedes is top right now from their amg hatchbacks till F1. Glb with 7 seats has no competition at that price range. It’s for kids but adults are that size in some parts of the world lol
You can get a base GLE 450 with a more powerful 6cylinder inline engine and 4 wheel drive for the same price as this one. I am not sure why you would get this over the GLE unless you just enamored with the AMG badge.
This looks better and is better equipped? And is probably better to handle, even if it’s slower? I take your point, but I wouldn’t buy the GLE in a million years, I would potentially buy this if I had Merc money and 2+ kids.
@@officesuperhero9611 Yeah, I think for me it would be about equipment. I’d rather buy a loaded up GLB than a GLE at base price. The GLE is also just more car than I can imagine using, so I’d take the smaller GLB. I’m also not really one for driving up high, I have an Elantra and a Miata, so the GLE was never gonna be my kind of car, lol.
That's a sympathy creating compact SUV - its light and not what to like! Love the colour combo (chosen the same 3 years ago) Yes the dashboard display looks like a middle step / in between for me, totally agreed making more real estate for CarPlay would be great. Where it can go - they are showing in the new S-Class or C-class, which is amazing (at least on picture). A roaring V8 is still the brand recognition for AMG - this one as a 4cyl. hybrid? Not sure, I would rather take the same car as full EV, same weight and range. But what will AMG do with EV´s?
They call this an SUV, but looks more like a station wagon. What is the difference between this and a station wagon? The GLCs and GLEs are SUVs, but I am not sure about this one. Your thoughts?
Some people don’t like these “fake” AMGs but I think this is a very good overall car.
It provides huge bang for your buck and makes it much more affordable for an AMG badge

Has the room of an X3 M40i/GLC 43, most of the performance and for a lot less $$. Seems like a legit product.
White with the night package looks great.
Should make glc boxy again. The glk is still the best looking compact crossover

Great review again. Love the honesty of course.
Always clever criticism..always. One of the best channels for car enthusiasts.
Ive heard there’s a 45 version coming out. If so I will be writing a personal check for it 🙂
This is the only MB I will actually buy..👏🙌

I don't understand why brands dilute their own brand like this...it makes the expensive vehicles less special.

Nothing will ever make the top AMG cars less special. Gotta sell cars to the masses to build super cars.
Good looking SuV that has a bit of everything

At least it stays below 60k
“Fake” but one man one engine makes it true? Who cares. It still is a nice looking great car. Has all the Amg parts
I hate the fake AMGs, buttttt this is kinda perfect for my mom, so conflicted smh
I've always loved Mercedes over Audi or BMW, but Mercedes has always been the worst when it comes to nickel-and-diming you with options.
An E-class with 300HP here is called E350 without AMG, 0-60 in 5.2s, and slightly lighter body. So this fake AMG is really quite fake.
To justify the sales of these fake amgs, mb used 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine in the upcoming c63. How ridiculous is that
I have always owned Mercedes cars. I tried the GLB 35: it certainly has excellent road holding but the engine, when it revs up, looks like a blender.
Buying a car designed to last a 3 year lease isn’t a smart buy
Bigger heavier more fake amg
Its ugly af
Still a wannabe tho.
