I'm a top rated seller (TRS) and freelance copywriter on Fiverr Pro, so I work with startups and small or medium-sized businesses all around the world. No two days are exactly the same, but this one seems pretty 'normal.' Today is all about self-care, sunshine, and getting inspired by two really interesting client projects.

When I start working @ 11am I feel like am not being productive enough I like to start working from 8am sometimes 6am well good for me
I’d rather feel balanced and calm than forcing myself to be ‘productive,’ but I totally get what you mean. 🌈
I remember getting my first buyer on fiverr and got suuuuper nervous 😰

@@carrieblogger During the winter months, I exercise indoors and only go out if I have to run errands. When the weather warms up, I love to play tennis and go walking.
Loved this more relaxed video. I've been on Fiverr for a bit more than 6 months and I don't plan on doing it full time anytime soon, as I already have a part time day job. However it's a great platform to learn how to interact with clients, improve your skills when you're challenged with new requests, and make some money on the side. Your videos have been extremely helpful in this time on the platform

@@carrieblogger I sell design gigs. I've been mainly doing YT thumbnails and social media Banners
I'm an illustrator, but also a full-time freelancer (for several months) and such work has many advantages. Unfortunately, I struggle to start getting up early, because I start work around 11-12, in the meantime I make dinner, exercise, scrolling internet and end up finishing work at 10 pm. I didn't expect my business to grow so much and I reply to various messages every day, sometimes it is a bit overwhelming, especially since most of the clients are from the USA and when they have an afternoon it is 12 at night in my country :P
Working with global clients is awesome! But the time zone difference was something to get used to... 😂 what platforms do you sell on? Or do you market yourself independently?
mainly fiverr :) Besides, sometimes I advertise in other places on the internet, sometimes people write to me when they see my works on socials like insta or twitter. one of the things i would change on fiverr is the timing system for replying to messages, if i go to bed at 11 p.m. of my time and an hour later a few people text me and i reply at 10 a.m. that makes me have a really bad response time and fiverrr reminds me every time I go to my profile 😂

I usually put a VAST margin on my deliveries (60-90 days on what will probably take 5 days).
Sometimes that client will just go AWOL for weeks and this stops you needing an extension - or there are issues with development that slow things down.
That would drive me absolutely bonkers. Noooo way could that work for me 🙅🏼♀️

Oh nice! It mostly comes down to lighting, I think!
I've worked on remote industrial sites in the Canadian bush, starting the day out with a safety meeting with all trades listening up in an ATCO trailer lunchroom, hard hats and work gloves on the table, and after ten hard hours made less money than you just made typing for four hours between walking your dog and enjoying a run in the sun, not to mention stopping for Starbucks coffee. There is something seriously wrong here.
I do loooove the life that I have built for myself. I’m very blessed - lucky - privileged, whatever you want to call it.

Great video Carrie I really enjoyed it. I always look forward to your freelancer friday videos. I have been on Fiverr for 13 months now. Unfortunately I recently had a family bereavement l put myself on out office mode. But one of my repeat customers messaged me out of the blue. I felt like I couldn't turn him away. Perhaps you could do a video on how you would deal with these type of situations.
So sorry to hear about your loss. ❤️ In my experience, it’s totally human to want to help the clients that you’ve built connections with. Personally I am quite willing to toss in extras and make exceptions for repeat clients that I truly enjoy collaborating with. But on the flip side, we’re also human and things happen in our personal lives. I would just have a conversation with them and be transparent about what’s going on and your limits right now. We are worth more than our work load. 🙏🏻

Hey Carrie. Having worked from home from quite a while now, how do you ensure that you remain productive throughout? Like are there some days when you struggle and don't feel like doing anything? Do you also miss having like colleagues and human interaction as you work? I am asking all these questions because I am a new Fiverr seller and this has been a struggle. Kindly share some tips.

I’ve only ever sold on Fiverr because it works so well for me. I like having everything centralized and I get more than enough work there, so I’m super lucky. ☺️
