My bmw x3 was way less expensive than a wrangler 4xe. Jeep dealer wouldn’t come off their price so I went to BMW. No additional dealer markup or fake dealer options. Stellantis and their dealers can all go bankrupt.
I happened to visit a Jeep dealer today. One of the workers was giving a Wrangler Sahara 4XE on display outside the door a "going over." I happened to comment to him that I wouldn't touch one of those with a 10-foot pole. He smiled and said, "I agree."
What many people don't understand is that these prices are paid in cash. If you take out a bank loan to pay for a vehicle, you must add 50% to 60% more to the total payment of the vehicle, so if you buy a vehicle for $60,000, in monthly installments you end up paying about $90,000 to $100,000 and the annual interest doesn't keep steady, it's keeps creeping up, so it becomes an impossible debt to pay.

I absolutely HATE the chrome trim on the Grand Wagoneer. It’s like someone forgot to tell designers at Jeep that chrome maybe signified luxury back in the 60’s and 70’s but today, especially the way Jeep uses it on the Grand Wagoneer, it looks cheap and gives off the vibe of those cars in the 90’s and early 2000’s where people with horrible taste put that really cheap chrome door edge trim all over their car including around the hood, trunk and gas lid and then put the chrome tape along the rocker panels. It looks hideous, it’s literally all over that thing including around the taillights and headlights.
I'm a Wrangler guy, have had 3 of them in the last 13 years. I rented a Rubicon 4xe earlier this month and that thing was a piece of crap. Couldn't even charge it at public charging stations, for one it uses the slower JST style connectors and when I did find a station with that, it gave me a service charging system error. Thanks, but no thanks... I'm going to go out on a limb and say EPA requirements has killed the Wrangler.
Enjoy your videos. We bought a new 2023 BMW X5 after testing driving the X5 and X5M( I was a Jeep Grand Cherokee fan, by the way, but not with their price) . Since I'm not going to drag race the SUV and drive 120+ on the surface road every day, the X5 has enough luxury and speed I will ever need. We also bought extended mechanic, service warranty, and tire coverage. It all brings the out-the-door price to around 74K with discounts. There were some heavy road reconstructions around our neighborhood for over a year and half. We ran over so much shit we changed every tire at least once at different times because the holes and cuts were so bad they could not be patched. I also ran over a crowbar once and damaged a rear wheel and fender cover that had to be replaced. All the cost was "0". Just replace a rear wheel and tire already paid for the extended warranty. Every time we buy a new or used car, we always purchase a transferable extended warranty to cover the life of the vehicle. That could be something you can talk about in your video.
And you can't buy any small trucks but I found out why a lot of times it government regulation and penalties on manufacturers that raise the cost all these vehicles and inflation and supply shortages and scarcity
Just checked out a Grand Wagoneer on Jeep Canada to see the insane price. They are offering an $11,000 discount but it only applies if you finance it over 84 or 96 months at 5.49% interest. Doing the math and financing it at 72 months without their discount but a higher price for the jeep, you still save money. What crooks.

I get your point with the Mercedes and agree with you. But with that said, you need to research the power of those hurricane HP. They make crazy power. It might only last 20k miles but they make great power

Parts delays across the board for a ton of models with no ETA. Dealers Can’t sell the vehicles on their lot. Dodge, Jeep and ram are going to the highest bidder. Stellantis has to sell the brands.
I'm a Toyota/Lexus person all the way through myself. Around 20-25 years ago or so I had strong leanings towards BMW and Mercedes when it came to what a luxury vehicle is and should be. They are both nice brands but just not my cup of tea anymore. As I discovered Toyota and Lexus since that time.. and I know those brands are not everyone else's cup of tea either so please spare me. With that said I look at these Jeeps, the Grand Wagoneer more specifically and its hefty price tag. There is really no way I would ever consider that option up next to a comparable Lexus with a $70-80k pricetag on it. I certainly wouldn't go after a Lexus with $120k price tag like the Jeep option even if I was flush with cash, it just would never happen. I have had a brand new vehicle before and will never go that route again because of the high prices and the instant depreciation. I am perfectly comfortable and satisfied with a gently used, certified pre owned Toyota/Lexus around $30k or under. These cars/trucks across the board these days are just not all they are cracked up to be anymore in my opinion as most brands have really gone down the tubes (including some of Toyota/Lexus) these last 3 to 5 years or so. I just want quality, a decent looking and reliable ride, nothing overly glammed up or flashy as I really have nothing to prove to anybody. The car is not an extension of my worthiness as a person on this planet.. if that is you then so be it. I'd go back to a car from the 60's, 70's, 80's if it was in good shape.
I've owned numerous Wranglers 4 or 5 Cherokees (3 XJs) 3 Grands (ZJ's) 1 Wagoner and a Comanche.I felt a departure starting in 2006 and a general distaste for the name now.Way to turn an actual fan. They have gotten so far away from where they began, I dont see them bouncing back anytime soon

Jeep prices are absurd, however you are not comparing same size vehicles. The Grand Wagoneer is a massive 3 row SUV and most of the other vehicles you compared to are just not the same size.
On that grand wagoneer that was really expensive you should know that when you looked and it had the V6 hurricane engine you have to look in the options because it could be replaced by the v8 so it might not really have a V6 in it it might have been replaced with a v8 in the opinions list. Just been in the car business my entire life so i know a few things
The Key to the Pricing: Just add a mouthful of words or acronyms for the type of Jeep it is and that means at least 10,000.00 more for each word in the title.
prices of autos the last couple years got me thinking everyone’s pay other than mine must have increased substantially cuz how else can ppl afford these prices? I must be financially poor even tho I have zero debt cuz I can’t contemplate paying the the average $45k auto
Jeeps are way overpriced. When I was considering getting a new Wrangler 4xe not affected by the battery recall, it was in the mid mid 70s. I ended up buying a really nice Defender 110 instead and it's a nice upgrade and step up from my previous Jeep.
Hahaha, when he founds a giant Sprinter bigger than the Grand Wagoneer,he says is great for your family adventures and all the stuff you can carry, so it's better. When he founds a Q8, smaller than the Grand Wagoneer, he says you seldomly will fill up that huge Jeep, so the Audi is better.😂
I'd get the Yukon Denali or even better the AT4. My most luxurious vehicle was an F150 limited and I would never do it again. By the way I bought that truck used with 10,000 miles for $41K but it sticker for $55K so that was 2014 so just look at how much the price has increased in 10 years.
Jeep forgot their roots. thanks stellantis. New Jeeps, too much money and too little reliability. The brand could be saved by returning to the last solid Jeep, the TJ Wrangler equipped with the indestructible 4.0 liter I-6 and five speed manual trans.
Nah bro … I saw them in my local area . 50 percent off 😂😂😂(I only saw the bronco !) didn’t need to see anything else . You don’t have the cash to buy the wip. ⚠️ don’t buy it
Jeep has lost its mind and killed the brand. If they want to save Jeep they need to offer a stripped down versions with improved off road capability; maybe with a woodgrain siding option for the Wagoneer?
Did anyone make it to the end of the video? What shocking announcement did Jeep make? This guy can definitely talk a storm comparing apples with oranges with no rhyme or reason

The Key to the Pricing: Just add a mouthful of words or acronyms for the type of Jeep it is and that means at least 10,000.00 more for each word in the title.
What could go wrong? Jeep is suddenly a luxury brand
prices of autos the last couple years got me thinking everyone’s pay other than mine must have increased substantially cuz how else can ppl afford these prices?
Mercedes QUIETLY doubled their incentives on most of its line over the weekend.
The problem isn't just that Jeeps are way overpriced, they're garbage also. A one, two punch of failure on Stellantis' part.
I'm could replace my Grand Cherokee Altitude but not buying at these prices...no way. Might just buy a restomod instead.
Thank you for the video.
Buy a travel trailer or house in a cheap state..
They lost their way don’t they do the maths and work out people can’t afford these crazy prices. Most people want A to B cars.
Do car manufacturers expect us to get a 30yr mortgage to buy their vehicles? No thank you!
Ultimately, I wonder where all these vehicles will end up because no one will buy them!
The x5 xdrive40i is the recommended one and it's under $68k.
If I was in the market for a new car (which I'm not), I would probably pick a Toyota 4Runner or a Subaru Outback.
“More reasonable prices”… No, not even close.
Please make a vid about Subaru, Mazda or Mitsubishi. Greeting from Bavaria.
you can Get a Austin Martin for 50k and people are buying jeeps for 67k. LOL
Who in the hell is buying this Jeep junk at those elevated prices?
I want a mini van I'd buy a Honda Odyssey and not a Jeep Wagoneer.
🤔 ... and How is their Reliability anymore? Luxury car buyers do NOT even look at the Jeep brand.
High prices don’t guaranty reliability. I would never own any Jeep, VW or Audi, regardless of price . They are all beautiful, but not for me.
They want us to pay for the automotive union's dues, fees and the pay raises they negotiated.......hellllll nah.
Jeep forgot their roots. thanks stellantis. New Jeeps, too much money and too little reliability. The brand could be saved by returning to the last solid Jeep, the TJ Wrangler equipped with the indestructible 4.0 liter I-6 and five speed manual trans.
Lexus LX 600 is about the same price as a grand wagoneer, and 10 times better vehicle in every way!!
Porsche prices with fiat reliability. Id like a bathroom at truck stop before I even think about attempting to possible buy anything stellantis.
They made their bed, now they can sleep in it.
Nah bro … I saw them in my local area . 50 percent off 😂😂😂(I only saw the bronco !) didn’t need to see anything else . You don’t have the cash to buy the wip. ⚠️ don’t buy it
So, what the heck is that "SHOCKING Announcement" ???
Jeep has lost its mind and killed the brand. If they want to save Jeep they need to offer a stripped down versions with improved off road capability; maybe with a woodgrain siding option for the Wagoneer?
I’m in for 30k and 100,000 mile B to B warranty.
Luxury? Just because of they priced it more expensive?😂
Well... Jeep claims is a "Luxury SUV". That's debatable for sure.
2-3 years old with low miles and these grand Cherokees are around 30k....
Jeeps aren't luxury. BMW M series are the super high performance versions
Maybe they can be expensive planters.
Um.... I need to know where that chevy square body is at. State, city and dealer please.
A Chevy Suburban or Tahoe Z71 are mutch better looking. How many do you know have been on a dealers lot for over 250 days.
Did anyone make it to the end of the video? What shocking announcement did Jeep make? This guy can definitely talk a storm comparing apples with oranges with no rhyme or reason
Is anyone else tired of the endless videos about how" Chrysler cars a too expensive"!!!! And "this is FINALLY IT the are DONE. ( For REALLY REALLY REAL this time!!!) ...maybe 😑
Thanks mate enjoy your channel, being a car nut and an American vehicle lover your prices are still dooo, able compared to here in Australia, and now your new presidents got some interesting ideas on import /export duty,s which will hurt the buying price here ,and yes i agree Lexus is great value and based on Toyota components generally very reliable.
Drive safe bloke

How can you even pretend to compare a Jeep to a Porsche? Or Audi? Jeep might pretend they are good but Just Empty Every Pocket!
It doesn't even come close to Porsche. That's what makes their prices so crazy.
They are asking high prices for payback to the auto workers for striking!
Tesla is the best car company ever bar none! No gas stations, No oil changes, No maintenance, Most reliable, Lowest cost of ownership, Safest, 87% customer retention, Lexus is 50% and quicker than a $650,000 Lamborghini.
