I'm so happy the distributor couldn't get a pair of Sevens in walnut when I was shopping in May. He got me the Nines for the Sevens price, out the door, FedEx delivery included. Also, thanks for the DSP advice about not using the analog inputs. Just hooked up a USB cable from my Eversolo dmp-a6. That'll do Z😎
Had my Nines for a couple weeks, love the sound. I am having in issue with the TV input turning off for no reason, so I plan on reaching out to them about it.
@ The bass is super impressive and clean sounding out of the box, but I prefer the dynamic of a 2.1 set up especially in a larger room. I have my 9’s paired with the Klipsch RP-1200SW 12" and it goes hard.
Thank you for finally getting to reviewing these Zeos. I always enjoy your reviews. Always very entertaining. I find it interesting that you so preferred the Nines. I'm a huge Klipsch lover but The Nines just won't fit under my cabinets on the counter for speakers in my small man-cave, and I don't have the room for speaker stands. So I have decided to keep my Fives with a nice Klipsch sub for now but just turn them up louder 😁. My credit card is currently in a major deficit, but when the Sevens drop under a thousand, I'm in (it was close on Black Friday as Klipsch reduced them $300). I paid $750 for my Fives when they first came out and they are worth every penny of that. They punch way above their weight and size, and cost. Overachievers! I didn't know anything about Klipsch when I bought them but I'm a life-long fan now. I'm still convinced the Sevens would be worth the upgrade from the Fives, just based on size. I wonder if maybe you got a pair of Sevens that had an issue like they didn't' get the latest firmware upgrade or some other issue? I'm sure you're right that the Nines are overall better sounding and more fun, but I have a very small room (15'L x 9'W). The Nines might be, as you say, "murder" in that space. One thing this line of speakers will not be beaten on is looks! That walnut is so pretty. And the handy remote sub control is so nice. I am always amazed by the quality and accuracy of dialogue my Fives deliver from my LG TV at relatively low volumes, it's amazing. Waaay better than my old soundbar or any soundbar at anything close to this price. Klipsch sound engineers are clearly among the best in the industry in my opinion.
Have a very lite use set of sevens bought last yr. Original box and all cords n remote in mint condition. Bought nines and don't need em, if interested let me know..id take 700.00 for them. Look new still! They were in a spare room hooked 2 an LG C2 tv. Ig interested let me know and i can send ya some pics by email or txt.
I wonder if the one of the woofers is wired out of phase from the factory, when he said " sounds like a hole in the sound " , that's what it sounds like to me as well when there are wiring issues.
When I do the burn in, which I did on these speakers, I run an inverted phase pink noise which cancels out when I push the speakers face to face. If it was truly an inverted wiring issue that means that system would not have worked on the speakers would have been very loud
I went with a used pair of The Fives & a small 8" Yamaha sub. I still need to get the Klipsch updater & connect apps after I upgrade my phone, soon. They're a bit shouty without the apps DSP & tuning magic. I had to install a chrome EQ extension to tame them, temporarily.
The Fives are $480 in the US? WTF? They are expensive as hell here in the EU. I got mine for €700 a year ago on BF and that was a steal because they had lowered the price €100 too much. But for $480 you have to have them! Just as a bedroom/garage/computer speaker. They aren't super loud without the compression kicking in but they are beautiful and so much better than any soundbar for music and movies at normal volumes. The perfect speaker for your hobby room. :)
any one that has an audio setup without the ability to immediately adjust the sub level in the mix going album to album or song to song doesn't know what they are missing. I'm sorry, but if you have an eclectic mix that runs from an old Van Halen song (absolutely no bass) to a Marilyn Manson tune (extraordinary bass) without being able to dial it in or out on the fly, you have to set this up. I have a dedicated JBL Nanopatch volume knob on top of my pre-amp that adjusts my sub level and I probably have my hand on that controller more than anything else I own.
My new house under construction is almost done and I'm trying to decide between KEF LS60's ($2k dollars off right now!), Buchardt A700's, or save some cash and get the nines on stands. Thoughts?
Fun question for you Z. If you use these with a pc. Would you use hdmi from gpu to tv. Then arc to speakers. Or. Usb to klipsch sevens or nines built in dac. If someone uses these as their pc speakers

Currently $1299. I'd say $1200 or less is an appropriate price for these. $1500 is out there. Budget? If these would drop to $999-THAT would be value! The amps in these are probably Class D chump change so no big expense there. Cabs, made in China-no great cost there. Hardware? Comparable to the RP 6.5' DRIVER that originally sold in the 400-500 range so Klipsch would still be doing pretty well even at $999 a pair. But that's just me. Look at how the Fives are almost half of what they were. Of course, that's because they're largely out of stock, lol? I'd say get some Fives and a nice $500 sub and you're good for most small to mid-sized rooms. As for me. I still run some A.J. Pioneer bookies and the center with a sub on a Panasonic D amp for a 3.1 system in my basement lair man cave. Does the job-CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. How CHEAP you ask? SP-BS22s $90, center $70, sub $200 (on sale from $450) Amp-floor model $115 (originally $350). Total $475 and sounds damn good in 2.1 stereo too for music. I often listen to this over my more expensive systems upstairs. Phenomenally musical for the price. Absolutely no desire to upgrade this-because it so so so smooth and relaxing. Yeah not the most resolution or greatest detail, but the music, the music, NEVER fatiguing, NEVER!
"NEVER fatiguing, NEVER!" THIS is such an underrated quality in a setup. I have The Fives paired with a SVS PB-1000 and though I got everything on sales it's still a $1200 setup (converted from EU price including 25 % VAT). And no matter what anyone says, The Fives really dont handle 90's R'N'R very good without killing the high end through the EQ in the app. Sure, I sit near a wall and the secondary reflections from that horn is killing me. But it isn't only that. I've never had a pair of speakers with some big decent soft dome tweeter and a good crossover be fatiguing in the same way... Also, having the tweeter almost flush makes for a way wider spread which involves the whole room more. If it's a cozy place with lots of defraction stuff it's going to make wonders for the sound.... ...I should probably make those acoustic panels I've been thinking about doing for a year now. ;)

Speakers are like food. Certain food are horrible for you but delicious for somebody else. And speakers are also like pairing wine with food. Not every speaker is paired for every type of accompanying sound. I've yet to hear the perfect speaker for all audio
@@ZReviews … so I’ve never heard the fives or nines … or any other powered speaker to compare them. Maybe I have a simple minded ears and no taste lol. Idk I would get the app up and running and try them with the nines even. Makes a pretty substantial difference.
Awesome review. I’ve recently started subscribing to you. Do you have any reviews of powered speakers that you recommend to work with vinyl around the $800-$1000 range.
I understand what you are experiencing because I also felt very disapointed when I connected the Sevens to my audio system. Let them play so the membrane of the mid-woofer can get more malleable. You said you’ve been driving them for 2 days (48 hours). That’s not enough. I can’t tell for the Nines or the Fives but at first listening, my Sevens sounded like cheap speakers : diffuse imaging, no authority except in lower trebles, so so bass. They could play loud but they were dull. It took at least 100 hours before they began to sound right and continued to get better after that. Now, after a month of extensive listening, bass, mids and trebles are really balanced, textured and very fast. They image very well and I can now hear subtilities, clear representation of the acoustics of the recording venue, pinpoint and deep image on large orchestral music. They really disappears. So let them play and they’ll improve.
He refuses to download and figure out apps. I can understand that. ...there comes a time when that app won't work so they better sound good out of the box. Also, fuck apps. Even though I use it for The Fives. There should have been buttons for the EQ in the back...
I love my Nines! I’d like to try them with a sub but that will have to wait. They don’t need the bass help but I’m still curious. Great review. Thanks for the content.
Hi, thank you for interesting review! I have a room of 20m2 (height 3.5m) with an opening into a corridor without a door. I can't decide between 9’ and 7’. I've seen enough of the fact that my room is too small for 9’ and their bass can ruin everything… what do you think?
Wish I saw this review before, wanted a sub out upgrade to my swans m300. So I got the 7s. Listened to them for abt 3hrs, had pretty much the same reaction Z did, packed them back up that day sent them back. I now have swans m300 mkii, I think they are bright and not as warm or impressive as the m300. Now I am thinking abt sending back the swans and getting the nines. But I just dunno, would these perform as good as the swans or are gonna disappoint again, I want something with m300 sq with a sub out for some nice bass. So conflicted
I just bought some nines and have a.like new set of sevens used little in original box with everything included. Were in a 2nd room hooked to a tv and not used much. Would take 700.00...any takers???
Most reviewers liked the sevens but you thought they sounded bad maybe yours were broken because if you think the fives were better your crazy! Also there is a app for these speakers that can help with adjustment.I enjoy your reviews don't get me wrong but sometime I feel like you just wing stuff from the top of your head.thanks
I don't think he thought The Fives where better over all, just more impressive for their size. They have a freaqing 4,5" woofer and at regular volumes they dig deep! Also, most reviewers are full of it. Only subjective word salad. The default is to not trust a single word they say that you can not confirm. Most car and audio "journalists" are in the hands of the big companies. They would call a pig a horse if it meant that they got more free gear to talk subjective word salad about. ;)
Small speakers sound small. Bookshelf sized speakers are small by definition. Four 15" woofers can handle the base (not sub base) without overworking at high volumes. Still get at lest 2 subwoofers.
But yeah, you quickly mentioned the Buchardts, but which one would you really choose; the Nines or the A500 / A10 / A700? (I don't think you have the A10 yet, right?)
Hey, what speaker stands are you using for the Nines? I’m looking for some stands that the nines will sit comfortably. That won’t kill my wallet ! Thank you
That´s funny, because when you review the Adam´s T series, some time ago, you loved the T5V´s, the T7V not so much, and you loved the T8V´s. At least, from what i remember.
I am deciding between RP-8000fii and The Nines. I know you really enjoyed the RP8060fii, loved that review! In this review, it sounded like you mentioned the Nines in the same breath with the RP8000fii, with the R7's being better. Not sure if that was saying they are similar or just making another point. If the RP8000fii is significantly better than the 9s, I would probably go that route. Any opines?
@@ZReviews thanks for the additional info! I was looking at A/B options like the Yama S701/801 but looks like the Nines are going to be irresistible for me. Currently on the Fives and SVS SB1000Pro, so Nines are direct (simple) upgrade path.
Been waiting for this review. Thanks! But I don't know why I bother here in Canada. Checking online.... The Fives Black $473.81 USD... $1449 CAD. With currency exchange USD to CAD it should be no more than $650 CAD. Why is America's hat getting hosed on these? The Nines Black are $1199 USD.... $2599 CAD. Again, on simple USD to CAD exchange should be no more $1650. I've also looked at the Vanatoo speakers and there is NOT this huge markup. .
So I see you discovered the App. Yes tone controls and dynamic bass boost (which is totally not needed unless you're a bass head) amongst other things. Man, It pains me to watch this. It was only 2/3rds of a review. I have the Nines. I have 1100 sq ft open floor plan and these things completely fill the air with epic sound. Connected to HDMI ARC, John Wick 4 never sounded so good. Black Friday sale deal too. With the savings I bought a WiiM mini streamer and connected that to optical. Enjoy!
I would of bought the Fives if they was balanced. Sonce they are not I would have to changed the rest of my setup and the JBL 305P MkII work just fine. I do like the Fives look tho
Honestly all of them sounded a bit off, weird like something was just off like. The nines seemed to have a bit of lower mid range and treble aggression but then had upper mids sucked out. Granted youtube does bad bad things to sound.
how stupid it would be to use nines as a desktop speaker to replace my elaras + 10inch polk sub 🤔 room is large-ish and i could probably fit them on the desk
I have "The Fours" and the connectivity is awesome but the sound is so so. It is nice they control the sub crossover and volume with the remote. Not good for music but good enough for gaming (R41PMs - $175 Best Buy open box).
Only thing off is your hearing lol, me n several friends own the sevens and love em, maybe there's a chance you purchased one with a defect or its time for you to visit a ear doctor hahahahahahahah
I think your set of the 7's were defective because I heard the 5's ,7's , and 9's at Axpona and they just sounded better the bigger set that was hooked up.

Spy X Family reference? Elegant!
What's the song playing when he says "delicacy through power" in the last part? Around 25:00
From the movie "The Natural"
100% agree with this assessment.
He said he broke them in for 100 h and then listened for two days.
Some speakers just arent for everyone and every room. :)
Amazon! Look at the the price for the nines today 😳😳 $1,299.00!
That's Kanata, from Hololive. Strongest angel!
the gorilla grip strength!
How are the sevens compaired to Airpulse A300 pro?
Anybody got an opinion on this yet?
They nines are only $1200 right now on amazon. oh no
How do these compare to the a300pro airpulse/edifier? Cuz you had me sold on those, but now i dont know what to do😅
Z the new Klipsch the nines have a sound app to adjust the sound.
He refuses to download and figure out apps. I can understand that.
...there comes a time when that app won't work so they better sound good out of the box. Also, fuck apps. Even though I use it for The Fives. There should have been buttons for the EQ in the back...
1999 euro in Holland!! 😮 the 9,s
I discovered a much cheaper italian site that ships to The Netherlands for 30 euro.
I believe they''re €1500 there.
@@MarcelNLwhat was the site?
Got the 9’s McLarens during the Thanksgiving sale for $750 🎉 they are really amazing.
That was a Steal
I’m getting the Nines delivered tomorrow and I think I want to pair it with a Speedwoofeer 12s sub what do you think?
@Z Reviews tnx for the review. DO you think for the music and movies from tv is this better option than LS50wII + Kc62?
Could you hook up new wiim ultra after d/a
conversion and equalizer set? would it be trough the line in/out? thanks!
What is the song at 20:31 ???
Hype to 11
Wait until the Klipsch 1400 for that
I just bought some nines and have a.like new set of sevens used little in original box with everything included. Were in a 2nd room hooked to a tv and not used much. Would take 700.00...any takers???
I'm interested.. How long have you owned the sevens?
@grantpetru224 No, sold them long ago!
How do these compare to Swans M300mkii?
Less aggressive. In both Bass and attack. These sound for lack of a better word, Classy. The Swans deliver ALL the sound hard and fast.
Just watched your review of the Forte’s how do the Nines compare?
They would call a pig a horse if it meant that they got more free gear to talk subjective word salad about. ;)

What's the odds one of the sevens speakers has a fault out of factory for crossed polarity on a woofer?
I mean. It is a possibility but my break in track wouldn't work if that was the case. because it reverses polarity in one channel.
Klipsch Nines vs KLH model 5?
I noticed you mentioned the nines doesn't need help aka adding a speaker but has anyone added speakers and noticed it was worth the extra $$$?
Very nice review!!!
I would like to ask if you prefer the edifier s3000 pro or klipsch the nines?
Nines are better than edifier s3000 pro?
These klipsch speakers are GAME CHANGERS!
Who are the characters on the wallpaper?
I got them! They're Renee Costa and Secelia Dote from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury
Small speakers sound small. Bookshelf sized speakers are small by definition. Four 15" woofers can handle the base (not sub base) without overworking at high volumes. Still get at lest 2 subwoofers.
Um. Yes?
The infamous 2KHz dip with the Sevens?
But yeah, you quickly mentioned the Buchardts, but which one would you really choose; the Nines or the A500 / A10 / A700? (I don't think you have the A10 yet, right?)
Z… any recommendations for a larger room? I don’t know what to get. Don’t want to break the bank. You ever heard the KEF Q950?
🙏🏾
The FIves with a sub will cover most larger rooms. OR grab the Nines on sale right now and let er rip
@@ZReviews many thanks.
Hey, what speaker stands are you using for the Nines? I’m looking for some stands that the nines will sit comfortably. That won’t kill my wallet ! Thank you
I have the nines with a sub. And yeah I’m bragging 😂😂😅🎉
Any opines?
I mean can you power the 8000 with class A? or at least a class A pre? If so go for it. For simplicity, the Nines are basically god tier
@@ZReviews thanks for the additional info! I was looking at A/B options like the Yama S701/801 but looks like the Nines are going to be irresistible for me. Currently on the Fives and SVS SB1000Pro, so Nines are direct (simple) upgrade path.
would you choose the nine's over buchardt a500?
I mean that is a 4x budget bump.. Accuracy I think the Buchardt still take it. This is def the best option in the price bracket.
hey it's me
Toe the speakers on axis to your listening position
Been waiting for this review. Thanks! But I don't know why I bother here in Canada. Checking online.... The Fives Black $473.81 USD... $1449 CAD. With currency exchange USD to CAD it should be no more than $650 CAD. Why is America's hat getting hosed on these?
The Nines Black are $1199 USD.... $2599 CAD. Again, on simple USD to CAD exchange should be no more $1650.
I've also looked at the Vanatoo speakers and there is NOT this huge markup.
.
I just bought a set from US and got them shipped to Canada.
Have the fives and nines with the spl-12 kick ass!!!
Right off the bat through my phone, it sounds like mono
kek
So I see you discovered the App. Yes tone controls and dynamic bass boost (which is totally not needed unless you're a bass head) amongst other things. Man, It pains me to watch this. It was only 2/3rds of a review. I have the Nines. I have 1100 sq ft open floor plan and these things completely fill the air with epic sound. Connected to HDMI ARC, John Wick 4 never sounded so good. Black Friday sale deal too. With the savings I bought a WiiM mini streamer and connected that to optical. Enjoy!
Yeah the app just hated my phone. Shame
I had the fives then got the sevens and just ordered a set of nines. Found a new set of nines for 999.00!!! Score!!!
From where? 😮
@@thegreatestofalltime777 good ol ebay, a klipsch dealer
@@thegreatestofalltime777 good ol ebay! They rock the house!!
I would of bought the Fives if they was balanced. Sonce they are not I would have to changed the rest of my setup and the JBL 305P MkII work just fine. I do like the Fives look tho
A/B The Nines with the Cornwalls 4 and get back to me.
Honestly all of them sounded a bit off, weird like something was just off like. The nines seemed to have a bit of lower mid range and treble aggression but then had upper mids sucked out. Granted youtube does bad bad things to sound.
Klipsch R-50PM + Klipsch R-121SW is better than The Sevens? Also 500 euro less.
Wow those are expensive, they make Evo 4.4 look cheap in comparison.
Maybe they need a subwoofer?
how stupid it would be to use nines as a desktop speaker to replace my elaras + 10inch polk sub 🤔 room is large-ish and i could probably fit them on the desk
Your mom wants the 9's
You betcha
You betcha
I have "The Fours" and the connectivity is awesome but the sound is so so. It is nice they control the sub crossover and volume with the remote. Not good for music but good enough for gaming (R41PMs - $175 Best Buy open box).
Only thing off is your hearing lol, me n several friends own the sevens and love em, maybe there's a chance you purchased one with a defect or its time for you to visit a ear doctor hahahahahahahah
I think your set of the 7's were defective because I heard the 5's ,7's , and 9's at Axpona and they just sounded better the bigger set that was hooked up.
