if u want to make it completley automatic then place a dispenser where the farmland block is and put potatoes in it
Java: build a gigantic contraption and afk 120 blocks above ground

Well this is also a thing in Java it's actually one of the easiest ways to store xp

@@raeesasyafika5834 yes if you smelt something in a furnace and you don't pick up the item, so it gets sent out by a hoper, that items smelting exp gets stored in the furnace. So if you were to break said furnace or if you were to lock the hoper or get rid of it entirely so you could get a smelted item from that furnace all the previous exp from everything you've smelted up to that point would be given to you. You don't have to make something fancy like that for it to work

If you connect the cooked potatoes to a compostor and then route that back to the bonemeal dispenser you would have a very efficient recycling xp machine. Cooked potatoes have a really high compost rate.

ive been using your xp farm and its amazing,i just saw if you let the machine cook 12 stacks of potatoes it give you 14 levels (if you start with zero xp) in the first potato you pick :o please let me know if someone finds more xp by cooking more stacks before pick
Just cook a whole double chest worth of potatoes. You'll get alot
Yes the way it works is furnaces will store the XP from cooking something. For example this isnt just for potatoes this works with gold, iron, steak, chicken, anything smeltable it works
Replace the cooking furnaces with normal furnaces and you get 200% xp

Looks good but the amount of bonemeal needed made me use the zero tick kelp farm on the top end.
In casa mia ho una fornace automatica e grazie a questo trucchetto della leva sulla fornace sono riuscita ad arrivare al livello 50 dal 7 in pochi minuti mettendo solo dentro della cobblestone!

Kelp farm for xp. Make dried kelp into blocks for smokers and blast furnaces. Level 0-30 in less than 30 seconds.
Switch the smokers on kelp xp farm to composters for free bonemeal farm

Is it the item itself that is making it give more XP or the amount collected in chest before collecting singles from smoker? Buddies of mine have a kelp XP farm in their realm but it only gives maybe 3-4 levels per kelp collected from level 0.
@@coleparker2434 let the chest build up a lot of kelp (10 stacks or so) then you can get more xp

Hey Oink, can you pls make one whit kelp? My hardcore base is near an ocean, so I cannot find any potatoes easy, and kelp is a resource that I found more efective, it gives more xp points

I use one furnace on every world and it holds enough xp for me to never need a farm ie I only take 1 item to get to level 30

Oh snap, thats a lot of bonemeal, I just used mine and while I grew a potato farm on site and was sure to use Fortune 3 tool to pick them and I had more than I needed in no time

Isn’t this based off the XP glitch in furnaces? The high XP isn’t a thing anymore. Once you pull stuff out after smelting you have to wait til you smelt the same amount of items all over again.
This was before the update i blv
for people who are like "oooohh i dobt have much coal" use a lave bucket instead, it can smelt over 100 [insert thing you wanna smelt]
It also doubles as a food source
I would say this is slightly worse than the kelp farm because the cooked kelp can be crafted into fuels, so we won't need to gather fuels once that farm is built.

On top of that the best java overworld xp farm is the cactus farm that smelts the cactus (watch ilmango's video to know more)

So after you've turned it off and done using it and stuff, leave it as it is, and like leave the baked potatoes in the bottom chest, can you resume it at any time and get the same large amount of XP? Even after you've left the game?
if you didnt take all the xp from the hoppers then yes it stays. i use just the hopper/smoker system with a nearby kelp farm and all the xp stays in when im logging on and off
