This track is what completely blew my mind as a child as far as music goes. The complexity of the cuts and samples was just staggering. I tried to show this to my friends and family but they couldn't comprehend what I was showing them.
I've been listening to Jeffs mixes since the day they came out in the 80s and he had those chirps and transformers completely mastered and it hasnt really been bettered since, same with Cash Money, all their very early mixes are still jaw dropping to this day, I've heard most of them and seen them both live, I challenge anyone to better the Live at Union Square mix 1986, let alone pulling it off on a basic Gemini mixer. Even after nearly 40 years there are very few DJs even to this day that can pull any of those mixes off like they did with the musicality, control, precision, humour or excitement bearing in mind they were in the early 20s and the artform had only been around a few years at the time so they were staggeringly good.
