What would you recommend in case, where market price of equity is rising (say by 8%), do company have option not pay dividend as other players in industry are doing but with no growth in MP of share ?
Thx Professor! GE comes to mind as there was so much hysteria around their surprising announcement that they weren't going to give out dividends. Could we then assume that these companies, that belong to the dividend aristocracy clubs, better calibrate their FCFE strategy before they took succumb to a greedy market that will punish them for showing constraint on their sometimes too generous giveaway of dividends.
I never know what to expect when I start watching your videos , but by the end I'm always glad I did!
Thank you so much for this.

Great Lecture! One thing: what do you think of BANKS doing buybacks? They are destroying Tier 1 capital during an uptick in economic cycle, no?
Great explanations and perspectives, as always. Thanks for this video!
Could you please tell me where can I find the raw data of amounts of buybacks in different company?
