- Models of Communication
The three types are as follows:
1⃣ Linear Model - a one-way communication model which disregards the concept of barriers and feedbacks.
2⃣ Transactional Model - a two-way communication model which considers the occurrence of barriers and feedbacks are simultaneously happening and treated as new messages.
3⃣ Interactive Model - also the circular and convergence model taking place in the new media (internet) with slower feeback and the existence of field of experiences.

what's the similarities between the linear and the transactional model? notice pls.
1. They both acknowledge the presencw of noise (though mas interfering ang noise sa transactional)
2. They are both communication models.
3. Messages are encoded by the senders and decoded by receivers.
Differences
1. Linear has no feedback while transactional has
2. Linear is one way while transactional is two way

Its function is to serve as a model for public speaking set up. It is where the speaker is sole source of message and the receiver only acquire the message

m not a pro, im just a shs student but sa pagkakaalam ko is ang similarities of linear at interactive is parang both of them are not having the process/part where the sender can be the receiver and the receiver can be the sender.
both of them din i think is not effective kasi sa linear is one-way lang meaning the feedback wasn't there pero sa ineractive mayroon pero after ng feedback wala na tapos na, e di rin naman na-emphasize kung ayon ba talaga yong tinutukoy ng sender after all. kaya nasabi kong di sila both ganon ka-eefective

wait, napansin ko to have the similarities of linear and transactional u should know the unique side of the interactive which is sabi based from vid was indirect, and communication happens from humans and machines(gadgets, and others)
therefore, the linear and transactional are both not having communication between MACHINES AND HUMANS

Commonly may tatlo lang na communication model. But on other references there were four iyan ngang transmission model. Pero some classified it as linear model which is true.. Kaso, other kinacategorize sya separately dahil linear nga ang flow ng message from sender to receiver pero may nag iintervene kasi ang noise o may barriers kaya naman acknowledged sya as other form

No. Because still there is this barrier existing. And all the models were serving specific types of communication set up.. May pang interpersonal, may pang mass media, public speaking, at may pang socmed

It is the way to ensure if the message was relayed well. It is through feedback we can only understand if the message was communicated successfully

It depends on the situation or speech context. But of course mas okay pa din ang transactional because you get the feedback and no more requirements needed

During is call, random inaudible noise appeared ( transference/ transmission error ) and his assistant received nothing in phrase but turmoiled noise. Again going to what happened Caroline tried to call him about what he just said.

Sa linear model kasi nak.. Hindi nag aappear ang barriers like Noise, lack of interest or anything that could hinder communication.. Ayon ang ibig sabihin ng no concept of barriers.. Sa linear lang yon applicable
May separate video ako about examples of communication model.. Ang shannon-weaver kasi nak is also called Telephone model so primarily tama ang scenario mo.. Possible din na ganon ang mganap na mag intervene ang noise.. Pero siguro maganda din na maipakita na after that short communication breakdown dahil sa noise, ay naging okay din at nagkaroon ng turn taking.. Kasi sa shannon-weaver ay quantifiable ang communication

The occassion or the context may affect the interpretation of the listener

@@michellefayetalvo1614 because the occasion is the context and it sets the ambiance or the environment of the speech. So if the receiver is problematic definitely the communication will be hindered because of that psychological barrier. Or if the place itself is giving no comfort to talk, the communication will not be successful
