Cool! You will also see how much Seb has changed over the years. He's more laid back now and is a very concerned human when it comes to human rights, climate change etc.
He's a 4 time WC with Red Bull and unfortunately couldn't make it work for him at Ferrari. I think that broke his spirit a little.

I think that lots of Kimi's personality comes from being a finn. The finns are a bit quiet and say usually what's on their mind. And they don't do small talk, it's not a thing in Finland. Finns don't usually brag about what they have achieved. If they do, it is usually considered impolite.

Seb and Kimi do seem to have a lot of respect for each other. When they were teammates, Ferrari favored Seb quite a bit. When Kimi gets screwed over, you would see Seb going over to Kimi and seeming to console him (or apologize too, maybe?)

Sebastian and Kimi has been best friends for almost 15 years...someone in the comment had pointed out how they met, in which Sebastian never forget how Kimi shook his hand and said hi properly when Sebastian was just a rookie in F1. Their houses in Switzerland are close, they frequently play badminton together.

It's interesting that you pointed out Seb asking questions. I have noticed that he is curious of people and their interests. Also if he doesn't want to answer question from media, he starts to ask questions of the interviewee to get the attention away from him and the question he doesn't want to answer. 😃 It's technic of him clearly. Then he doesn't need to say straight that he won't answer something.

Seb is such a nerd, too, you can tell in the interview.
In a summer break "contest" by F1 they asked the drivers to name all the F1 champions from 2021 to 1950. First you get wrong, you're out. Seb did all of them.
Finally when Kimi found out, that the interview would be done if he got someone wrong, he immidietly did that

Seb is still racing but is sadly retiring at the end of this year due to his team not having a competitive car.
He is a 4x Champion and he dominated the sport throughout 2010-2013 era. Funny thing is, at that time, most people hated him because of how dominant he was, but nowadays everybody loves him

Seb is a giant flirt, with just about everyone 😆 He sometimes uses that great conversational skill to deflect and can be mischievous in press conferences when it suits him. He's not unserious at all though, he is one of the most vocal and staunch driver advocates against the FIA when it's warranted and is a huge advocate for marginalised people in the sport. He is always the first to congratulate young drivers on their first wins and big successes.. His radio message after Lando Norris's big crash was straight to the point and clearly angry as hell. He can be ferocious on track (look up Multi 21 and Mark Webber) and completely unapologetic about it. Looking at him now it's hard to believe that his cockiness made him unpopular with a lot of folks back in the day. He's much more wry now than he used to be. One more thing to note about Seb is that for all his willingness to talk about the sport, he is very guarded about his private life and his family - which is of course his right and it sucks that some people cant seem to respect it. He is one of the shining lights in the sport and he will be sorely missed when he leaves in two races time.

There are some videos of them spending time together without the media presence. Vettel has had several Finnish performance coaches and at least at some point he has owned a summer villa in Finland, so he's used to Finnish mentality and he appreciates the Finnish honesty and straightforwardness. It would be interesting to see you look at a more current example of Seb speaking, especially where he's trying to convince people or convey a moral or philosophical point. He has recently become somewhat of an activist, advocating for the environment (and against climate change), for LGBTQ+ people, etc. He uses the communication skills you've noted (and more) to get across his points in really effective, disarmingly sincere ways, using examples that are applicable to his audience.
    It's very interesting see.
