That cracked me up that she had never seen a horse clacking before. What they basically are saying is: Please don’t hurt me! I think it’s so cute when they do that. Some horses will even do that to humans if they’re feeling real insecure

How cold is it there? There are leaves on the trees. Here in Wisconsin, the leaves fall off the trees by the time we wear heavy coats and the horses are in rugs. Just very curious.
It averages about 12 degrees celcius here atm (I live in the same area). Night time about 4ish degrees celcius or so lately.
Although it's the middle of winter here those are gum trees you can see so not deciduous - they never lose their leaves :) We do have deciduous trees around in South Australia but mostly we have gum trees on larger properties here, we have a Mediterranean climate so similar to that of say Italy 😁

How about Vanilla Bean or Banana Split for a name? I saw a horse in Sweden named Banana Split, but it was a pinto. Fred wpuld suit the name better.

Just quietly... Please know the way you wanted to load is a MUCH SMARTER way - the engine is in the bum and that's where you should be asking forwards from 👍🏻👌🏻 - doing what they had you do with a youngster teaches them to lean against pressure instead of yielding to it 😬 BUT you did an awesome job with what they gave you to work with and pony is a stunner ❤️❤️ it's a shame a horse of this age and size hasn't done more particularly coming from a large stud.

Either way works correctly, this pressure release methods teaches them that pressure is released when they move forward and you should be chasing them backwards when they begin resisting pressure. This teaches them that any backwards movement will place pressure on them although a forwards movement removes it. The method used here is more effective for younger horses :)
@@hdhdjoshs726 agree to disagree I guess 😉 I have seen the result of both methods and I know what creates a lighter horse ☺️ Also anyone who walks a horse away from a float when trying to load is teaching the horse the opposite of what they are intending... But each to their own as I say agree to disagree.
