your crash remembers me the last injury i had, it was a fking hole in the lower part of my knee, it takes about 7 months to get back to ride normally, after that i tend to ride more passive, just the necessary to have fun
Lucky not to hurt yourself more. Good thing you landed on your foot/feet first before tumbling. It's falls like that that make you thank your guardian angels. Hope you pulled up ok once you cooled down.
They are both bad ass bikes but I think the Dreadnought is a size too big for me. I should've got a Size Small. I'm so used to the Yeti so it was really hard getting the Dreadnought dialed but once DVO custom tuned that shock the Dreadnought feels amazing 💪
@@TommyHuynh I wonder if the upcoming Onyx fork will be a little more forgiving when clapped than the current Onyx SC is. Every time I've clapped my Onyx SC it's ejected me off the bike, though not quite as spectacularly as this crash, thankfully it's a hard fork to bottom out.
All us DVO riders saw that one coming. Onyx SC bottom out in 3...2...1..EJECTO SEETO baby!! The bike gods were looking out for you on that one for sure, that could've been way worse.
I've done hundreds of drops and that was only the 2nd time I ever got ejected it's not the suspension. The first time I tried to roll a huck and went OTB this one I hucked into deep sand that turned my bars and ejected me when my wheels hit the boulder

Damn man that’s a nasty spot to go down, you got pretty lucky. I just did a ton of work to that section last weekend but I’m not sure what day this was you guys rode. On a side note, right where you went down I have a flat shovel and a deck broom stashed behind a tree. Us locals that keep those trails running would appreciate it if you guys grabbed them every once in a while and did some work, especially when you’re rolling ten deep. By no means am I trying to be a dick but we put in a lot of work out there and earn our turns by pedaling to the top and it becomes a little disheartening when the shuttle crews ride it all weekend and dont put in any work.
Yeah I saw the shovels, we left ours there a couple years ago at top behind log and someone stole it 🙏🙏🙏 thanks for all your work. We actually do work there all the time so you shouldn't assume we dont.
I think you need to adjust your rebound - turn it down. I could hear you tires chattering through some of the rough stuff & it appears as though it launch you off the bike......Good recovery!!
Hey tommy tell your friend to put some protective dog shoes on his girl . I had some very bad experience with my German Shepherd riding with me to the point that I Haiti get some stitches under his paw. Never had any other injuries after I’ve put shoes on him , military or search and rescue dogs use them all the time .

My suspension was custom tuned by DVO its not the suspension I hucked to flat into deep sand and my wheel turned it had nothing to do with suspension
