My partner and I had a similar experience in the medinas of Tangier Morocco where children were trained to ask for food and then money etc... It was heart-wrenching as we wanted to (and did) give but after a while it became so taxing and depressing... and, at times, it felt like we were being used, looked at as a meal ticket. I can add this one thing - it's okay and shows strength to teach children their worth, value and that their place in society is fluid- and this doesn't have to be monetary or what/ how much you own. Just because you start at the bottom in life doesn't mean you have to stay there.

I found out some parents train their children to beg for money. I got mad one day because I was tired of people asking for money I am not use to that in my country Bermuda 🇧🇲 we don't beg at all. There is about five man that live on the streets one or two beg we don't like it at all there is even provisions made to help people so no one needs to beg it is against the law here to beg Police can put you in court for it. It takes years to save for travel we have to live too eat hotel transport shop if people beg at the end of the day you're left with nothing you can't tour or support the economy but it's not right.
