yeah the whole timeline of these series are so confusing but the arcade games take place in 1999 and 2000, the modern NG Games Sigma and Sigma 2 are during 2002 and 2003, the nes games are 2003-2004, Dead or alive to dead or alive 4 likely 2004-2005 as well in this timeline theory, making Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge in 2006 and Dead or Alive 5 & 6 in 2007. however this is from youtube channel and their theory, Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja never really explain what year the NG and DOA games take place, Nioh is easier to understand timeline but even then it's confusing but considering it's a fictional take on historical events liberties were taken

I'm a big fan of the franchises, especially the NG and DOA characters. Nioh can loosely be connected given how Oda Nobugana is a recurring character in W-Orochi games, about Fatal Frame don't remember correctly but pretty sure they had at least one character in one of the games but may be wrong.

Also it has tomonobu itagaki period when story was good. All lines work good. And doa/ng has strong connection in characters. ( Doa ++ - doa ultimate/ ng 1 - ng 2. Quite possibly. But after our victory over Nightmare Bringer Otakemaru the game makes note on how the swords light fades until the bastard falls into relapse. While it could just be me looking to far into it, I think the immortality power might fade with it. "Dino Crisis," "Dead Rising" and "Resident Evil" could be set in the same Universe, I can't think of any other franchises that are connected to the "Devil May Cry" series, (Some people say it's "Darkstalkers" but it doesn't seem to fit tone for DMC, it kinda fits only something like the "Ghost N Goblins" series)

I’ll be the guy who says it: the DoA volleyball games ruined DoA. The ninjas vs tech company was surprisingly decent. The Beach Volleyball games got old real quick and ruined face of the DoA series and it never looked back. And I hate it.
