In Sept 2021 the Narrowboat Journeys SlowTV now has over 35 real-time trips :) That's quite a lot of uploading and great resource for relaxing, beautiful cruises.

Good morning Phil, I'm subscribed to both your channels and enjoy them both very much. Slow TV gets routed through the big television in the sitting room and is the nearest thing I'm ever likely to get to a real narrowboat journey. Very much appreciate all the effort that goes into putting up videos for our enjoyment. Thank you.
I like your videos and the long trips are quite enjoyable. Your last video of slow cruising through the long lines of moored boats was very interesting. So many types of boats in varying condition and the differing scenery from municipal to rural is very informative.
Thank you. I will do more when I can get the microphone sorted or replaced. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes there is just crackle and noise. I don't know if it is working until after the recording. It kind of puts me off starting them.
Good vlog! I chuckled before at you saying how a place you're travelling through for maybe the umpteenth time doesn't always ring a bell. I worked on and off at Cheddington between 1987 and 1998 (near the railway/canal bridge) and whether I travelled there by train or car, there were times I'd look at the scenery and wonder 'why haven't I seen that before?'. Of course there are also routes where just about every inch appears to be familiar and unchanged
The issue with the longer cruise vlogs is the time. I wish I had time to watch them or the foresight to put them on while I'm working and pretend I'm cruising. I do enjoy the shorter videos and although I am always sad not to see the cats (or you) at the end - I totally get the reasons behind that. One thing I do enjoy about the shorter vlogs is the narration. Vlogs like this - talking ones - are always appreciated!
Great vlog Phil, even thou the memory card got full up, it was still good and I enjoyed listening to what you had to say. Even better that you were not waving your hands about like Dan Brown, I wish he would sit on his hands when he talks, it is so distracting when he waves his hands about all over the place. I agree with what you say about other boat TH-cam channels, that they only show the nice and good bits, when in reality life is not like that, it is full of up's and downs. I like videos of about 10 minutes, after about 15 minutes of watching a video I tend to start to lose interest in the video. You mentioned about wifi / internet usage, when you are near a town, would it not be possible to go into a coffee shop and use the free internet there. I don't know how all these narrow boat TH-cam channels can keep going, as they all seem to produce the same content, like stoves, toilets and moorings etc. I think the key to it is what you are doing, showing people where water points are etc. I have noticed that the TH-cam channels that get the most views are the ones that have a lot of talking in them as they go along the canal and vlog videos. Do you plan to come back down south to the Oxford area again, or will you keep going around other parts of the UK. Take great care and very best wishes.
Thank you. Most of my non cruising videos will be fairly short. It's just that even at double or triple speed I can't show very much cruising in 10 mins. It's quite a problem and no easy way around it without chopping bits out of the trip.

Some seem to think that because it's all done on a computer there is no work involved. Others are more understanding and appreciative.

The winter would be an ideal time to catch up but low battery power at that time of year is a problem.

Probably one day, no plans to return as yet.
@@NarrowboatJourneys no that place has been done to death,take a trip on the ribble. Try not to get capsized by big speeding boats.
Unless you change your TH-cam strategy/set-up I cannot see the views increasing. Hope I'm wrong.
