I swell with pride at the honor they bring to their city and their families. Each one is a hero of the highest caliber, and we the people are exceptionally lucky to have them as masters over us (the low and undeserving common folk).
I pray to God Almighty to bless these brave, humble, benevolent and selfless uniformed patrolmen as they continue to rule us as they see fit, and use whatever deceit and force is necessary to teach the citizens just who is in control. Please, Lord, do not remove Qualified Immunity from their purview, as "Laws" are only for the powerless citizens, and not for those chosen few who carry a badge. Well I can understand why people may say that, especially after watching them waste so much time & resources following someone who was literally doing nothing wrong. However I would argue there's a lot more crime than fires. If there were a few mini stations set up throughout the city for them to be posted at then I might agree. Otherwise I sure as shit wouldn't want to live on the opposite side of the city where criminals would have a good idea exactly how long it'd take the cops to arrive. Or at least where they'd have a good chance at getting away.
I would say maybe if you wanted to enact a law that police can't pull over people unless a legitimate call came in about them being a present danger And/Or if someone is blatantly driving reckless & is a clear danger.
Then again if they aren't following the rules & regulations now then I guess that would only do so much. So 🤷‍♂️.

I don't know, $4,400,000 probably isn't ENOUGH to ask for in a federal rights violation lawsuit. And as for every officer/deputy who participated in the whole thing...each should be sued individually based on their level of involvement, their rank and authority to make decisions and their unlawful and unreasonable conduct. Each and every moment they occupied this Neighborhood pulling this garbage had created some drama for those at home and should be able to feel free to avoid the distraction of this game they were pulling.
God forbid somebody had to go in for third shift, or had a safety sensitive job to go in for such as a railroad worker or whatever.
Putting the rest of the public aside from just this man which is more than enough alone.
The fact they colluded amongst themselves to put the city's resources at risk as everything is brought in by tax payers and the city owns nothing

Surprisingly it's a very common tactic, but happens even more often once a supervisor comes on scene. In fact, many videos on the internet show supervisors telling the officers to turn off their body cam while still on scene. Quite a few law enforcement agencies do post their written body camera policies online for review and most acknowledge that audio/video should never be turned off in many circumstances, like during an arrest or while the subject is still present. Officers frequently stop the audio recording claiming they need to inform other officers who may show up on what transpired before they got there, but supposedly don't want to prejudice the incident (yeah, right!). It's total BS and they're not saving any reasonable amount of storage space by muting the audio. Also, the police don't like scrutiny and their police unions like it even less, since it makes it far harder to keep any potential disciplinary action against, or wrongdoing perpetrated by officers, away from public scrutiny and wider dissemination (i.e. broadcast by the news media). We vote mayors, city assemblies and governors into office who make laws governing these things, so until citizens mandate enforcement and transparency in policing - it will never happen.
