another excellent video Adam. currently watching with my saturday morning coffee - the best! can’t wait to make it to japan one day and experience these trains for myself. in the meantime i will live vicariously through your videos haha
As always. An excellent review by an excellent reviewer. Imagine that - 90 minutes for 350 kms. Meanwhile it takes me Melbourne to Bendigo 130 km 2 hours +. No food.
Excellent review. I agree Gran Class is not really worth it. The food and drink provided is not worth the extra costs. I think the best way to solve on board food and drink problem for all railway companies in the world is Ekiben. Japan has already shown the way. On board food and drink is only for tourist trains. To have a proper chef and proper kitchen on every train is impractical.
I think I got it right in the voiceover but my shots at the start and end were recorded on site (with my typical Australian pronunciation ) so it was too late to fix. This is all part of learning. Yes, I make mistakes but I’m only human. 🤷
Always enjoy an ‘Adam’ train journey! Looks so well organized, easy to follow and passenger friendly after taking German and Dutch trains! Great video!
Great review ,always get my travel juices flowing.I would love to go to Japan but first I have to go to New Zealand just across the dutch lol.I have travelled so much of my beautiful country Australia but never been overseas.❤
Yeeesssss! From your Japanese railway video you shared last time I was hoping to see a few more Japanese related videos and this didn’t disappoint! Very detailed guide to travelling on it…. Hopefully one day for me!
Lovely trip, funny enough in February my partner and I did Tokyo-Sendai-Tokyo in Green class. All in one late afternoon to make use to the max of our JR Pass' last day. As usual, Adam thank you for sharing your trip :)
It's very slick and plush. Weird that the power sockets looked a bit manky though. Also weird that people have to touch the loo door lock before going outside to wash their hands.
Love your videos my friend! And I saw you a couple of weeks back… fittingly enough heading down in to Adelaide railway station. 🙏🚝 We Adelaide TH-camrs need to stick together! 😊
Great video as usual. Makes me ill watching this as I endure the 1972 vintage V set travel between Woy Woy and Hornsby in around 40 minutes with no internet at around 45 kilometres per hour up the hill toward Cowan again. And as I have for 30 years
Such a great journey, Adam. Thanks for the information about travelling on this amazing train. I was going to say that it couldn't get any better, and then I saw the train you're going to travel in for your next video. 😍
Great to see you back Adam, what a great journey. I note you have ditched your checked shirts for a more quirky design. I look forward to the rest of your travels.

Thanks so much! Great combination … trains and coffee. 👌
Thanks again , so jealous !
The worst part … is now I really want to go back. 😂😂😂

Thanks so much!
Yes, it’s a bit depressing when you compare their railways to Australia.
totally agree, i often day dream about how fast I could get from Melbourne to Bendigo if we had high speed rail available
Great video looking forward to your next video
Thank you!
Superb.
Cheers! ☺️

Thanks so much! Yes, Ekiben is wonderful. High quality, tasty and reasonably priced. 👌
Learn to pronounce Shinkansen properly!

You know any trip with Adam is going to be great, everything covered from start to finish, wouldn't miss one !
Awesome. Thank you!
Great review by a great Aussie reviewer. Thanks!
Thanks so much!
14:51 A bit like the seats at the front of a Boeing 747 in my opinion! The ones closest to the front are technically in front of the cockpit!
True!
Thanks for another great video Adam. I haven't been to Japan yet but when I do, ride(s) on the Shinkansen is most definitely on the list.
Thanks Eddy. Yes, the Shinkansen is so convenient for getting around the country. Fast and frequent. 🙌
Always enjoy an ‘Adam’ train journey! Looks so well organized, easy to follow and passenger friendly after taking German and Dutch trains! Great video!
Thanks so much!
Maybe it’s fun to see Thailand 🇹🇭 train on @Travel.Highlights and @Travel-by-Train 😉 Enjoy
Great review ,always get my travel juices flowing.I would love to go to Japan but first I have to go to New Zealand just across the dutch lol.I have travelled so much of my beautiful country Australia but never been overseas.❤
Thank you! Yes, New Zealand is so beautiful so definitely worth doing. Japan can wait. 😊
As if these types of trains were in Australia travelling from Melbourne to Sydney would only take around 3 hours
If only! 🙏
Great review , I have always wanted to travel on one of these trains.
Thank you. You definitely should. 😊
Cool are you going to try the overnight sleeper train ?
I didn’t… but am keen to return to do so!
Great video, please come to Europe sometime.
Thank you! Hoping to do so in 2025. 🤞
Kia ora Adam! I love how you make an effort to deliver the best possible pronunciation of non-English place names in your videos 😀
Thank you! My Aussie accent can be a challenge at times. 😂
Very informative with just the right amount of detail that we have come to expect. Looking forward to the 70000 series review. Well done Adam! 🤩👍
Hi Larry. Really appreciate that - thanks! ☺️
Yeeesssss! From your Japanese railway video you shared last time I was hoping to see a few more Japanese related videos and this didn’t disappoint! Very detailed guide to travelling on it…. Hopefully one day for me!
Thanks so much! Yes, visiting Japan is like being a kid in a candy store for anyone who loves trains. 😍
Great video, thanks Adam. I have been lucky enough to have had two trips to Japan and the trains are amazing. Looking forward to your next video.
Thank you! Super keen to return myself. 🤞
Lovely trip, funny enough in February my partner and I did Tokyo-Sendai-Tokyo in Green class. All in one late afternoon to make use to the max of our JR Pass' last day. As usual, Adam thank you for sharing your trip :)
That sounds like great fun - gotta love the JR Pass for being able to do things like that.
Only in Japan we can get such a nice service and yummy food 🍒🍒🍒
Yes, gotta love it. 😋
It's very slick and plush. Weird that the power sockets looked a bit manky though. Also weird that people have to touch the loo door lock before going outside to wash their hands.
Yes, the power outlets do look odd. Yes, that is unusual but I guess it’s good that you can wash your hands after touching the lock. 🤔
Nice one again Adam, happy to see you're enjoying your Japanese odyssey. 😊
Thanks so much!
Love your work Adam.
Thanks Simon!

A english speaking youtuber reviewing non-JR railways??? I'm so excited for the romancecar video!
Cheers!

Thanks David. Will be interesting to see what the new D sets are like when they eventually enter service. 🤔
Such a great journey, Adam. Thanks for the information about travelling on this amazing train. I was going to say that it couldn't get any better, and then I saw the train you're going to travel in for your next video. 😍
That’s great to hear Michael. Thank you!
I haven't caught one since I went there with my family on a group tour in 1990. A lot has changed since, including the speed of the Shinkansen. 🚄
Time to go back. You’ll love it! 😊
Great to see you back Adam, what a great journey. I note you have ditched your checked shirts for a more quirky design. I look forward to the rest of your travels.
Thank you! (Don’t speak too soon - checks may reappear yet 🤣)
When are you coming back, you're the best tour guide ever🎉
Back to Japan? Very keen given how much I loved it. 🥰
Awesome as always Adam
❤❤
Much appreciated Clint. ☺️
The theatrical company called - they want their moustache prop back 🤣
Rude! 😂
Not funny! Don’t pick on our Adam!!!! Grrrrr
