In my experience, my turning from the sin that I had repented of over and over came when I sought the Lord for help to see my sin from His perspective and a Godly sorrow came when I realized the demonic altars that sin creates inwardly and the evil that reigned when I remained in agreement by committing the sin. This was so grievous to me and brought a genuine reverence for God's Holiness, which worked the peaceable fruit of righteousness. Glory be to GOD Most High! Thank you Noah, God Bless you.

Thank you Noah! This is a confirmation of what I am going through. I have many people in my life who think the unbiblical form of repentance is all that matters and if you’re “the chosen” then you’re “the chosen” so basically it’s like a license to sin. I don’t have much sorrow when I repent, generally but I do it anyways! And that’s important. Even if we aren’t broken or brought low, God still is, and we should care more about how He feels than how we feel

I was Catholic for over 40 years and all I learned was guilt and fear and shame and condemnation.. I agonize daily about the fact that I still have that old man. I have no one to even talk to about it.

Give it all to Jesus, He will help you get rid of the burden you still carry.
Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Indeed, my yoke is sweet and my burden is light."

To bury the old man you need to be baptised again in the name of Jesus Christ. Sprinkling is not baptism, baptism is full immersion into Christs death and coming up out of the water being raised to new life through faith in the working of God who raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Your old man has died and the law of sin which once ruled your members has now been destroyed.
      Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
      Galatians 3:27-28
for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
      Romans 6:3-11
Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Thank you for posting this video. I would like to add:
Repentance begins with a change of heart but is only validated by affirmative action. That is why John the Baptist said: "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore, bring forth fruits in keeping with repentance."
The simplest definition of repentance is "to turn". Biblical repentance consists of turning away from one thing and turning towards another:
1.) Away from sin; Toward righteousness.
2.) Away from darkness; Toward the Light.
3.) Away from selfishness; Toward selflessness.
    4.) Away from self-will; Toward God's will.
5.) Away from carnality; Toward spirituality.
6.) Away from hate; Toward Agape.
7.) Away from pride; Toward humility.
8.) Away from falsehood; Toward the Truth.
9.) Away from death; Toward the Life.
10.) Away from rebellion; Toward God's Kingdom.
There are many Scriptures that support this, which I will cite if asked.
To God be the kingdom, and all the power and praise and glory, for all ages-- in Jesus' name. Amen.

Thank you for the explanation. I keep falling into idolism by searching for the approval (love, liking) of other people. In seemingly small things, like dressing up to be praised beautiful or trying to prove how smart I am etc. activities. This "market" in me has been going on for a long time. It happens so suddenly that I can only realize it when it is already done and situation is gone. And I see it and feel bad, and hate it, and pray to God to forgive me for wanting to impress people...but then it`s going on again whenever the situation is present. uncontrollably. not sure what else to do, it`s like an unstoppable inclination of pride perhaps.

      Remember….idols = burdens

It comes from a root of unbelief. This is the cause for the need for validation from creatures because in honesty we do not trust that God alone is enough and how He feels about the real us (spirit & soul), the one He died to save, not this outward corps that came into this world on it's way to the grave. Pray for God to help your unbelief: Mark 9:24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. Because when we grow enough in our trust that God alone is enough, we will slowly begin to lose our grip on the need for the approval of man. It is a journey. Be grateful that you can see it for the idolatry that it is, many push it down behind the wall of denial, so God's Got you. Keep pressing into Him, He will prove Himself true.

The problem is that many believers do not have the Fear of God, that is why many of them do not even turn from sin, and do not repent of their sins, because they do not have awe towards their creator.
Proverbs 1:7 "Fear of God is the beginning of knowledge."

I have demons that make me think that way all the time. Nothing is never good enough. Always condemning me when they're already condemned. I truly need deliverance. It's like a religious spirit and these demons think they own me so much that in the midst of all this being baptized and trying to walk out my salvation, it will make me think God doesn't love me because they don't leave through deliverance.

I've had this 5 years. I know. Only Yeshua can set you free. Its mercy and faith. But no such thing as double indemnity. He can't punish you twice. On earth and lake. Satan is trying to keep you sin. But only Yeshua will do it. At mo...no sin in my life...studying Torah..trying for holy feasts...but just in poverty and sickness...so who knows what Devil and God are discussing. My belief...Satan can't be in believer...Paul wasn't always righteous in His teachings. So we have to keep begging for mercy...you have to go for mercy.

For me it's not always the case that I cry and it really hurts when I present something to God. This always kind of annoys me because it feels like I'm just saying it but not meaning it. That's why I said to him: please don't think that I don't mean it. As a human being, I probably see some things as less serious. But they hurt you and I don't want to hurt you. So please help me to see what is right and what is wrong in your eyes. I've been reminded ever since. no joke. As soon as I start to take part in something that isn't correct, the thought pops into my head: You didn't want to do that anymore. Furthermore, I understand God as a “human” father. Just like a father should normally be. He wants to protect you but he can't forbid you from having experiences. He can warn you but if you keep doing it, he has to let you do what you want to do. You bear the consequences yourself. And there's nothing he can do except watch as you hurt yourself over and over again or allow others to hurt you. This makes him sad, he is your creator, but all he can do is wait until you stand in front of his door crying and asking for help. And then he hopes that you understood it this time.
Noah, your ptsd prayer is working. 😁 Many thanks to you too. May God bless you and your entire family 😊

It's demons though that are behind the thoughts, temptations, and urges to sin! True some is our own flesh and rebellion but there's often demonic strongholds and bondages that can need broken. You've heard the saying, " The devil made me do it" more accurately it's the devil influenced me to do it, as Satan can't make us do anything. The enemy would like to have that kind of power, as he is a control freak.

A so-called "repentant" person who doesn't even try to work on their struggles isn't truly repentant. It's called just feeling guilty. In order for it to become true repentance, that said guilt has to convict them to want to change and work towards it as a result. Judas Iscariot didn’t repent, he just felt guilty. That's the difference.
