I enjoyed the video I still like to here your thoughts and tips but an extra build video like this adds an extra bonus so thanks for posting . Regards Gav.
I have this kit, I bought it because correct belly behind front wheel well, but Im not sure if the kit contain the ramp for flares in front of vertical stabilisators.
Another beautiful build my friend. I have a question for you. How are the ammo paints that you used for the exterior? I have the same kit and bought the same paint set. I'm used to using Vallejo paints.
The Ammo paints were pretty good. They were a little too diluted, so make sure you turn down the pressure on the compressor. I was going at about 10 to 12 psi. So do test the pressure settings before letting lose on the kit :) Other than that they are pretty good. Good luck with the build.
Thanks mate. I usually use a Harder and Steenbeck infinity airbrush. I bought it years back and it was really expensive. I have since realised that as a modeller one does not really need a very expensive airbrush. Those are meant for portrait artists and painters and such who want to draw really fine lines. For our purpose any good airbrush, about .30 mm, double action, is good enough. Neo from Iwata is a good place to start. As you get more comfortable with the brush and airbrushing you can look to buy more expensive brushes based on your technique, style and preference.
This is a very nice kit. But it does have its challenges. The biggest in my opinion being the instructions. There are several ejection pin marks on some of the smaller parts. Also, the PE seat belts are something I could not put together. As far as fit issues, the only challenge were the engine covers but nothing major. Other than that, its a really nice kit. There is some putty required here and there, but over all a very nice kit. I would recommend it :)
@@scalemodellingmadness4114 would you recommend after market belts? Maybe the ones in the Eduard zoom set? I also have some leftovers from a recent mig-21 build. I may look into seeing if they can be modified.
Hey Stephen, this kit will definitely benefit from some nice after market belts. The PE ones in the kit are a real let down and I could not figure out how to put them together.
Iam building almost the same kit right now, the 9-13 of G.W.H and iam totaly disappointed about that kit. Fit of the engine covers and the air intakes are bad, decals are hard do not realls stick on the surface and the instruction is not the best.
The instructions are pretty bad. My biggest problem were the PE seat belts and harness, which I found to be quite bad. The engine covers needed putty but they were manageable in this kit though it took a lot of effort to get them to fit properly. Good luck with your build :)
thanks for the great idea on the engines. Holy cow, simple and just great looking.
You are welcome buddy :)
I have this kit in my stash, I really look forward to building it and will use your video as a guide. Thanks!
Good luck with the build. Do let me know it goes :)
Nice work! 👍✈️🇳🇿
Damn that looks insanely good! thanks for the ride!

Please make a Hawker Tempest mk 2 which was the first fighter of the country !!!
Love from Pakistan.
I will surely try. Is there a kit for PAF that you are aware of?
Impressive ! A lot of stuff to learn here :)
What is the product you use to mask the cockpit glasses ?
It’s thin strips of masking tape along the edges and liquid mask in the middle.
Fantastic build! What airbrush are you using here?

That’s great, I’ve had my eye on the iwata neo airbrush
There is supposed to be gaps inboard of the leading edge slats
How was this kit? Did you have issues fit wise or anything? I have been thinking about getting this.

I never get that level.
