The worst theories I have heard from people is that the character next to Superman is Ultraman, first Ultraman has never looked like that so why would he wear a black suit with a mask? Also why would James bring in an alternate universe villian in the very first movie of the DCU it makes no sense, that character is probably Ulysses or an original character for this universe, or maybe it's Damage I don't know, but I am 100% sure that is not Ultraman
Ulysses(Neil Quinn) does have a mask in the comics(he don't usually wear it but he has wear it )just to let you know. That character is from the new 52 comics.

I would like to point out Cris is that apparently Zack didn't want to include Doomsday in BVS and wanted to have Metallo as the villain for BVS but the old WB regime told Zack that they want Doomsday to be in the movie.
actually the movie was never meant to be “BvS” it was supposed to be a Batman/Superman duo movie but because DCEU was behind WB wanted an immediate confrontation instead. because of that the entire movie had to start from scrap.

If this character is indeed Ultraman, and he'll eventually become Bizarro, we lose the opportunity to visit Bizarro's dimension/home world (He'll just be another boring clone thrope) and also we get a boring iteration of Ultraman rather than a Superman of Crime Syndicate. It's the same case with Doomsday, because Snyder made him just a zombiefied General Zod, we never got the actual mythos of Doomsday. Doomsday is a legendary figure for Kryptonians, their Boogeyman.
Honestly probably intentional as they would be working on the movie alongside the series and the series creators probably at least saw some concept art. They usually do this a lot,Marvel is a good example as Spectacular Spider was required to have elements from Toby's Spider-Man films.
Just to offer some info, I have a cousin who is an actor who told me that in superhero movies most actors who wear suits usually film in a larger size suit in order to move more freely, during action scenes, but once the scene is filmed the crew will perfect the visual of the suit so you don't have to worry about the size difference it will look perfect. I have two ideas of what this Ultraman is. First, I believe it's a clone of superman that is controlled by Lex Luthor in order to frame superman so his face has to be hidden so no one can suspect that there is another identical superman. I also believe that this clone process hasn't been perfected by Lex so the clone will eventually become Bizarro so Lex has no other choice and hides the clone with the black suit.
I wish this was a full reboot and won’t be connected to blue beetle and peacemaker S2. Especially cuz it’s confusing af. It’s connected to peacemaker S2 but not S1… wtf. And it’s supposed to restart the whole universe. Just keep the actors in those projects then. And even then John Cena is starting to get a lil old

I have a crazy theory. I think they are going to combine the three evil superman counterparts/rivals into one villian. This would include Ultraman, Bizzaro, and Doomsday. There would be a progression or transformation between each character, most likely over the course of multiple movies. Maybe im crazy, but I think it would be a cool concept to make these villians one individual.
That's a good take that it's a reverse Kingdom Come story of Superman attempting to show other "Supes" how to do things. Keep in mind there is also the comic "What's so funny about Truth, Justice and The American Way" aka Superman vs The Elite where Superman kinda does the same thing to a degree but eventually has to "scare the team straight" by showing them what an unrestrained Superman can do. He basically fooled the team into thinking he turned bad.
I would also like the point out that the first picture we ever got of the suit may in fact be ultraman posing as Superman. Considering how angry and/or moody he looks he could be framing Superman or trying to replace him i Also think this version is a clone made by lex

They usually give you a quick run through when he’s not. However, we know Supes story no explanation needed, same with the Trinity, Thanos and BA! When you have to explain that much and the character is coming to film suddenly and isn’t the center of attention it makes people go “ooooookkkaayyyy?”

All the people we discuss on average have back stories and films either deep back stories! Wolverines! Captain America! Storm! Black Panther! Venom! Punisher! Daredevil! Green Lantern albeit sucked! Deadpool (remember what happened when they gave us the 5 min version you speak of in X-men of his back story)? The Trinity! All of them had deep back stories and on film as well! Pick one where their back story was told in 5 mins and got a franchise out of the deal or is commonly talked about in comic book circles! You are thinking from the perspective of one who already knows and reads comics. Most of the fans that attend Marvel and DC films aren’t hardcore like that! What a lot of them know comes from the film and the film tells them why they should care! It’s definitely that deep!
That first released photo of Superman's suit where he's putting on the boots is probably evil Superman. Putting on the boots to take Superman's place while he's in custody? The suit has a dirty emblem so I wouldn't be surprised

James Gunn should do the same thing he’s doing with Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr with Jensen Ackles as Batman, he’s already voicing Batman, so you can bring him to live action along with him doing the voice acting

Superman is my most anticipated movie thus far. Followed by Scream 7 with Neve Campbell. These set photos are looking very interesting. So I hope it's great. I might get the movie on DVD. I'm definitely getting Scream 7 on DVD.

I mean seriously, 👀! We are talking about how bright or dark Superman colors are! His hair style! Trunks or no trunks! Hi cape set or low cape shoulder set! The Crest, how it looks! AS FANS, we care about all of it! We can withstand to do with or without certain things! But the storyline matters! The set matters! The characters matter it all comes together in the end to matter! Pick any character of your choosing that did like you said and explained the back story in 5 minutes and that’s beloved? They did it with Guardians and they were beloved for that 5 minutes, they’re not being discussed to this day. Black Widow they explained in 5 mins before she got a film and was liked but once they yelled cut so did the fans, she isn’t talked about on average. All the people we discuss on average have back stories and films either deep back stories! Wolverines! Captain America! Storm! Black Panther! Venom! Punisher! Daredevil! Green Lantern albeit sucked! Deadpool (remember what happened when they gave us the 5 min version you speak of in X-men of his back story)? The Trinity! All of them had deep back stories and on film as well! Pick one where their back story was told in 5 mins and got a franchise out of the deal or is commonly talked about in comic book circles!
You are thinking from the perspective of one who already knows and reads comics. Most of the fans that attend Marvel and DC films aren’t hardcore like that! What a lot of them know comes from the film and the film tells them why they should care! It’s definitely that deep!

That first released photo of Superman's suit where he's putting on the boots is probably evil Superman. Putting on the boots to take Superman's place while he's in custody? The suit has a dirty emblem so I wouldn't be surprised

I think it might be a prototype suit of Lex Luthor you know testing if can contained or rivals superman powers and giving it to the military to profit but also have a defence to fight against superman since you know he hates him, and since superman is already establish it makes sense that lex luthor is creating suits and weapons to destroy superman and maybe at the end we see the full real suit( which is the comic version) that can fight one on one against superman😁👍🏻 but that's just a theory

Superman is my most anticipated movie thus far. Followed by Scream 7 with Neve Campbell. These set photos are looking very interesting. So I hope it's great. I might get the movie on DVD. I'm definitely getting Scream 7 on DVD.
