Great video myself personally, I have seven legacy Morphers and I just recently got a lightning one a few months ago. I don’t know why they stop selling those versions since they’re basically not that old and are only selling right now the pink and yellow movie ones.

Hasbro suspended the power rangers license for now until they create new ranger content is whats been said. Till the Netflix reboot comes out most likely. What ever is available now is all there is left over in stock 🤷‍♂️

Lightning also has alpha's voice if you push the red button but hold the morpher so it does not pop open. And the coins are more show accurate including the prongs that hold them in place which were seen on the show in Retrun of a Old Friend Part 1 when they give their coins to golddar

If you hold down the morpher while holding the button alpha 5 says aye aye aye

I'd be happy to get either but they don't seem to have any new for sale in uk atm. 😢

    I love both.
But they definitely serve a different purpose.
Legacy was meant as a collector/display piece. That was the intention. And it's definitely incredible!!! I own 2 silvers and 2 gold/Tommy's. Got em while the getting was still good. Lol
I remember when they were shelf warming at TRU, lol That's why I decided to get another one.
They were also at Walmart at one point(the silver one). And they actually had running changes. V1, V2, and V3 with different light sequence and paint apps. I keep 2 of them on my display shelf and the other 2 in box.
Hasbro Morpher was meant to be a toy. And its quite fun and different.
I love the vac metal gold coins and the individual ranger morphs.
To me Looks like a deluxe version of the original 93' one.
I own 2 of the Lightning Collection Morphers and have that one on my dresser in case I just wanna pick it up and morph, Lol

I found out on my lighting collection morpher if you push the red button to open the morpher but you hold the top and bottom down to prevent it from expanding it will have Alpha saying “Ay Yai Yai”

On the other hand, both are extremely difficult to find. especially this model for the lightning collection. I find them nowhere at an affordable price. or it's out of stock.

I wish sombody made custom plates for the lightning morpher. The paint sucks,as it wears easy. Even on the legacy green ranger morphor.

My collection just recently started maybe 3-4 months ago or so and grew from my original stuff as a kid sitting in climate controlled storage, to owning collectors editions Saba and dragon dagger plus a normal legacy saba and multiple legacy 24k plated dragon daggers that I've cleaned and plan on reselling on ebay. I have the black and gold legacy UltraZord combo, the Soul of Chogokin Ultrazord setup as well as a seperate limited edition black megazord. I have the legacyZords as well Tiger, Thunder and NinjaFalcon. I also have 2 legacy communicators one normal and one Tommy version. I have 3 legacy Morphers also 2 normal and 1 Tommy morpher. The Tommy and one regular is a U.S version while I also got a Super Sentai dino buckler which it's the same exact thing, but I got it because I preferred the sound it made and I plan on turning it into a master morpher. I've already swapped the inside plastic colored plate from the original red to green and I have master morpher decals already on the way and I'm waiting for some gold replacement plates to be made so I can put the decals on and viola'

Thy need to make custom metal plates for lightning morphor. The paint quality is not good

Check out Starlight Studios on etsy and eBay. They sell some nice stuff to upgrade the lightning collection morpher.

IMO the lighting version from hasbro just overall looks like a cheaper plastic looking downgrade compared to the legacy morpher. I get that hasbro wanted to do their own version but it really just looks cheaply made like an actual toy rather than what a real one would look like. Even the coins looks like crap. The legacy overall is aesthetically more pleasing. The only thing I actually like about the lighting version is how secure & flushed the power coins fit into the morpher. The sound effects were a much better added feature especially how the morpher sounds when inserting/removing a coin. Big kudos to hasbro for treating fans w/that nostalgia by adding in the actual voice actors animal calling with each different coin. One side note regarding hasbro I have is that their overall collection of mmpr has not been very impressive or of better quality compared to Bandai. I don’t know why people gave Bandai a lot of grief over their toys but I actually thought their early days of mmpr figures were amazing. When they finally released their legacy line it was perfect in terms of quality and build and matched with the asking price.

You can't even compare die-cast vs plastic. I'm sorry you just can't. Die cast wins everytime. I MAY get a Tommy morpher if they release them simply cause those always go up in value no matter what. I mean they SKYROCKET and unless you happen to know people who are willing to hook you up slightly above cost like I did for most of collection, the legacy Tommy Morphers are $400 average on ebay. The best deal i.m.o was getting a super sentai dino buckler off ebay as you could find them for awhile for around $125-$150 which compared to $200-$300+ average is a good deal. Now people in Japan are getting wise to it and starting to raise their prices I've noticed and even the Dino buckler are hovering at $200 and some change now. If you are lucky you will find one for $150-$160 and occasionally you can offer someone who has them at $180-$190ish to $170 or so. But yeah, when they finally release a Tommy morpher I'm grabbing a shitload and holding them until they go up in value

Yeah man, they're absolutely stupidly overpriced in march '23. I couldn't win a bid under $300 for regular legacy, saw one for $260 buy now, that's 'cheap' now.
These prices are killing the fun of simply collecting a cool product. Legacy saba & dragon dagger, with shipping and now tax, will tear up $1k. I understand popularity price bumps, but prices for needless collectibles this egregious isn't sustainable.
