Agreed, but unfortunately the people who own them, don't give a s**t about them, as long as they are making money! that's why I would never ride them when in Blackpool no matter what! If they aren't getting rides, they won't put the horses (and donkey's on the beach) through what they do!! AVOID if you love animals!!!
Blackpool council take note - to have those horses working in those conditions is abuse and cruel. If this is acceptable in your town then you need to sort yourselves out.

@@stephanieboond1564 if the horses weren't happy they wouldn't be pulling the cart. Have you ever tried to control a stubborn/knackered horse? How do you know they aren't being fed and watered? They aren't skin and bone so obviously are well fed. They are horses specifically reared to work hard like certain breeds of dog are bred for specific tasks. They are tougher than you think.

I remember this sort of sandstorm in the 1960s. Dad would get us up at about 5.00 a.m. to walk on the beach, obviously depending on the tide. How it hurt my legs as we wore skirts and socks then. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Thanks for going out in that sandblasting event and sharing the video. 👍

Hi new subscriber here to your channel, I feel so sorry for the horses as there made to work without a break.i once asked one of the horses owners to give the horse a drink of water, the man was quite rude and said I need to mind my own business, there was steam coming off the horse, and the poor thing had all white froth around and inside it's mouth. They do get overworked.

@@Demag.FrederickGeorgeES I'd take snow over the wet and wind here, it's a nightmare in winter. Cold, wet, salty, windy and humid is a deadly combo if you're out in it for long. Down jackets don't last 5 minutes, they should stress-test gorete here 😂

What's gets me Stephen is how selective this storm was, you have bravely shown us what it was like in Blackpool yet here in West Yorks we got hardly nothing yet going into North Yorks they got it quite bad. Weird 🤔 Thanks again Stephen.
I used to own a house in the posh area (as you call it Stephen) on North Prom in St.Annes this is the weather I remember most, I always lost roof tiles and spent half of the next day clearing sand from the front yard.

That sand mound on the track at the start of the video held me up for a good 45 min. I was the first tram to reach it and there was no way i was driving through it as it would have derailed the tram, it took a team of 10 people armed with brooms, shovels, points bars and a leaf blower to clear the sand off the rail.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool i think its the way the walkways are designed on the side of the pier, they funnel the sand up to the top of the prom when the wind blows hard from the west.

I feel for the horses. We get sand blasts more often in Lincolnshire aspecially near the coast. The wind is 40mph where I live

At 09:50, it is the first time that I have seen the train tram going backwards and not lit up.
I suppose it's just like any other tram & can be driven both ways, but it does look strange.
