Connor's story was very real to me, and I am sure many others. He didn't get all of what he wanted, he faced disappointments, trials, hardships, his beliefs were challenged, those whom he believed in did let him down somewhat. His helped to found a great nation, he saved his people but couldn't save their lands. It was bittersweet, and thus all the more real.

Connor that his trust was betrayed by the patriots and the lands he wished to protect were lost (but his people survived) in the end with his mission accomplished, Connor was free to choose what he would do with his life, and he chose to serve the cause, Ezio he did not have that opportunity, just like Connor his life was destroyed by others, Connor lost his mother and he would think that the culprits would be the Templars when it really was George Washington, but Ezio lost his family, his father and his brothers, and I look for answers and revenge, something that would give meaning to the murder of his family and punishment of those responsible, a fight that would take 22 years of his life, which would go from revenge to a desire to bring freedom and justice to people, after which he would have defeated to the Borgias in 1499, and with his mission complete the Ezio would say to himself (in the Brotherhood novel) that he had had enough and wished to retire back to Florence and live his life, stroll through the fields of the city. town, feel the breeze on your face, taste the wine and eat there and maybe find someone to hang out with but again destiny would deny Ezio the possibility of choosing what to do with his life, when Caesar Borgia would assault the town and assassinate his uncle Mario, with it again Ezio would go for the Templars, to avenge his uncle and himself and stop Caesar's conquests, since his conquests were foundations of power of the Templars, whom he would defeat in 8 years until Caesar would go to Viana to defeat him. after that Ezio had already lost his desire to fight, he did not go to Masyaf and Istanbul to stop the conspiracy of the Byzantines or stay among the Muslim tricks, he only wanted answers that would give meaning to his fight, what would tell him what his fight to which he dedicated his whole life had a purpose beyond being constant power struggles, but finally there will only be disappointments, he would only find Altaïr's Fruit of Eden, more unknowns, more doubts and one last message to give Desmond, but there it is where Ezio would decide that he had had enough and would decide to retire and live what little life he would lack (when ironically, apart from Connor, he was the one who else reached the truth and the curtain of the temple of the precursors) Ezio lost a WHOLE LIFE in which he lost many things that he loved in his life, his two homes, his family, his uncle, the love of his life (Cristina), the woman with whom he believed he could have had a new beginning (Caterina Sforza)

I speak for myself, when i say, that this game is one of my favourite in the entire franchise, it received too much hate and stupidity from annoying fans back then.
Connor had too much dedication, devotion and atitude. Its funny, when you are playing Assassins Creed lll, the game feels so correct in the both sides (Templars and Assassins) giving us the oportunity to have an experience of different ideas. To choose our own decisions. In some point in the game, i was with Haytham, in others with Connor.
For me, there's no enemies in this game, only two factions with different ideas.
I played, all the entire franchise and this game is the only one, that you are feeling that the Assassins persuit an empty goal and the templars only want to follow an order, direction and purpose.
This part of the game, speak for itself!
PS: I'm so happy about the Remaster, AC lll is one of the best! And Connor is the best Assassin!

Such a shame people don't understand his character
Mainly Bcoz his story released just after the trilogy of Ezio
So Assassin's Creed fans were most like Ezio fans nd next in AC3 they were hoping the character to be Ezio or sm1 like him so They didn't like the Native American Assassin who have the personality opposite to ezio. AC3 don't do Connor justice cos 25% part of the game was completed on haytham's side, native tribe prologue etc.

Connor didn't sacrifice, but his heart was "sacrificed." His mother left him, he lost his best friend, lost everything he wanted to protect, and even killed his father in the end. Even more tragic, Connor gradually understood Haytham, and it turned out that Haytham was right, but it was too late, Haytham left him forever, and he didn't even close his eyes when he died. But it was just a dream, this too, I should have known. Were we not meant to live in peace then, is that it? Are we born to argue, to fight? So many voices, each demanding something else....It has been hard at times, but never harder than today, to see all I've worked for perverted, discarded, forgotten. You would say that I have described the whole of history, Father. Are you smiling, then? Hoping that I might speak the words you wanna hear? To validate you? To say that all along you were right? I will not, even now, faced as I am with the truth of your cold words, I refuse, because I believe things can still change. I may never succeed, the Assassins may struggle another thousand years in vain, but we will not stop. Compromise, that is what everyone has been insisting upon, and so I have learned it, but differently than most, I think. I realize now that it will take time, that the road ahead is long and shrouded in darkness, it is a road that will not always take me where I wish to go, and I doubt I will live to see it's end, but I will travel down in nonetheless. For at my side walks hope, in the face of all that insists I turn back, I carry on. This....This is my compromise."

People bashed Connor to hell and back, but they don't realize that he behaved, sounded and acted just like Altair. In this way, he was more of an Assassin than Ezio, Edward, or any other
protagonist so far, for that matter. I don't know if this was intentional, but I do know that if you see "Batman" when you look at Connor, your introduction to this franchise must've been AC2 or a later game.

@@CRAZYMUGMAN that's a bit harsh bro, I love Ezio for the legendary character that he actually is but I also love Connor and Edward for the hardships they endured, Haytham for being Haytham, Shay for his strong convictions... You shouldn't generalize Ezio's fans like that. I only definitely agree that people shouldn't overlook other characters.
Ezio isn't overrated, he's rated as he should be and you'd understand that if you play the trilogy and especially Revelations. Revelations is the one single game that will make you realize how much of a great character development Ezio had. Revelations also adds a lot to Altaïr's story. And just like that it's the perfect game because it concludes the stories of the 2 defining characters of the franchise so well.
I encourage you to set aside whatever made you hate "Ezio fanboys" so much and experience his story for yourself. It's worth it.

The music is epic/amazing, Haytham was great, the homestead missions were good (it added to Connor's personality), the era was interesting, the setting was refreshing, the story was great, the modern day was fun and the gameplay was good (the combat is fine, it's better than Black Flag's combat) & only 20% of the missions are tailing missions (whereas 75% of the missions in Black Flag were tailing missions). Connor honestly has the biggest heart out of all of the AC MCs.
Col. Barrett: "Chin up, friend. Many who should have died today live because of you."
Connor: "What about them?" (Gesturing towards the battlefield, strewn with dead bodies)
Col. Barrett: "We do the best we can with what we've got."
    Connor: "It is not enough."
Col. Barrett: "Hm... It never is."
Juno: "It will never be enough. You strive for that which does not exist. Still, you have made a difference, and will do so again.
He never did trust the Patriots, but he had to put his faith in them and hope that they would protect his people in return. And, in the end, Washington tries to destroy his village, and on top of that, it's revealed that he was behind the attack on the village that killed Connor's mother, not Lee. His people turn his back on him, and Kanento:kon tries to kill him, forcing Connor to kill his best friend, and his people are forced to flee to the west in order to escape the antagonism of the Patriots that Connor had put his faith in. And then Achilles, the closest thing Connor has to a real father figure, dies shortly after they have a big argument over Haytham, and they never got to say proper goodbyes to each other. All this after Connor watches his mother burn alive when he was just a kid. And then being forced to kill his own father when he wanted to try and turn Haytham over to his side. His life was nothing but one tragedy after another, and in the end, he had to carry on alone to kill Lee and rebuild the Brotherhood, because nobody else will. All before he even reached his 25th birthday.

Mainly Bcoz his story released just after the trilogy of Ezio

AC3 don't do Connor justice cos 25% part of the game was completed on haytham's side, native tribe prologue etc.

In my opinion connor and ezio were familiar personalities but what made ezio more charming was his environment while connor was raised in a wild environment and this is why he was more brute to his pursuits and without attractive style but for me both of them were assasins they fought for the same reasons and the only difference is the environment that they were raised this is why they had different behavior

Have to wonder if winning the war was worth Connor losing his people, his father, his bestfriend, and his mentor. As a teen I found him a bit annoying. As a adult who has lost family I can only admire his will to go on

I often think of winter when enjoying the AC3 score. Nature freezing and waiting for a rebirth. I think much of because the winter in the game it set a very cozy and life inspiring tone for me.

In this game was reached the most epic moment of a true hero story, was created the most emotional music to describe feeling and time not only of the period American Revolution but also it's showing the real situation and pain between the nations in our period what we live. And that's fascinating me and taking to tears, nostalgy... I think the real assassin creed fans will understand me what I meen. And the coolest thing that this part of AC series has a biggest hidden secret within the story.

AC 3, AC 4, AC 1 and Unity were the best games by far.

Sorry if I’m late, Connor’s story is a relation of how us Americans pushed the boundaries between man and savage to almost the brink of eternal destruction. He fought for his people and for what. He lost his mother, his own flesh and kin fought against him and in the end it was all for naught but a single drive of revenge and blood against just a man of insane power and strength. That’s why I loved AC3 it was compelling and a coming of age game for me.

My saddest moment, when Achilles passed away a true Assassin ,connor feels sad for the dead of his master, a great fighter Connor Kenway

I think the saddest thing about Connor is that we don’t know what happened to him after Achilles died and the murder of Charles Lee. Yeah sure we have bits of EU lore but unlike Evior, Ezio, Edward or Altair we still never truly know his fate or if he got a happy ending.
We know about his wife however I hope he settled down with a kid or two.
