    Deion was one of those hyped up type of players that actually did something every time you watched him to legitimize the hype. He was so damn good that Madden actually put a "high step" button on the game for you to celebrate with because of him. He was that exciting to watch.

      +irandleIV He was the greatest return man ever right up until Devin Hester Broke all of his records and the Scum Bag Deion didn't even recognize him or his records Devin broke.

      +Chuck NORRISS chuck you re an idiot. Dion was at the game when Hester broke the record on Thursday night football I believe and Hester came to the booth. Dion praised him for what he done and told the fans he has been close with Hester the past couple of years and then soon teared up a little bit. You re a dumbass.

    • @bigeric1030
      @bigeric1030 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He's been tight with Devin Hester since Hester's days at Deion's dreaded rival school, "The U". He and Hester would call, text, and e-mail back and forth since Hester was about 19. Also, Hester broke out the "high step" and "The PrimeTime Shuffle" on more than one occasion, going back to his rookie season with the Bears. He has called Deion his mentor and friend numerous times. The thing on TNF was just a culmination of things that have been going on between the two for about 11 or 12 years, now.

      +Rise Up but your dumb self has to realize deion was shutting down guys like Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin. Deion had 54 ints in his career even though people spent YEARS not throwing to his side of the field. Stop it, no one compares to primetime.Deion at about anytime in his career would shut down all the elite recievers tody including megatron, dez bryant, aj green, etc.

    • @22steve5150
      @22steve5150 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to compare players of different eras, the rules (especially regarding PI, hitting receivers during or after the catch, and sacking QBs) are so different from era to era, and the type of talent they were up against and the types of offenses they were up against is so different. Hard to know how much more or less dominant a given player would be outside of his own era. So I'd just list the dominant guy of each decade IMO, and I don't know enough about pre-1960 football to list the dominant CB in the 50's and earlier, and I could give a rat's ass about college so it's just an NFL list.
      60's Dick LeBeau
      70's Mel Blount
      80's Ronnie Lott
      90's Deion Sanders
      00's Charles Woodson
      10's Derelle Revis

    • @E3litecompany
      @E3litecompany 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Nah jerry rice is the most productive of all time don't confuse the two, look at the year randy moss had with tom Brady imagine if he had that his whole career? Lol jerry rice was an extremely hard worker, randy didn't have to work hard he was so naturally gifted lol. Jerry had Montana and then steve young both hall of famers how many hall of famers can you say threw to randy moss during his career?

  • @jasondownsnet

    Deion was the first shutdown corner I saw in my lifetime. When I say shutdown, I mean shutdown. In his season with the Niners, QB's literally wouldn't throw to his side of the field at all. He covered one side, and the rest of the 3 DB's covered the other side. QB's were throwing so little in his direction, I remember one game with the Rams, he had to bait the QB and make his assignment look open and then last second he speed up to make a pick. A very remarkable player. However, I still think Rod Woodson is the best pound for pound CB of all time.

    • @brett154
      @brett154 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Best cb of all time? Dick lane

    • @damianribera3408
      @damianribera3408 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You only say Dick Lane because of madden haha, get out of here with that. He played too long ago to make claims like that.

    • @xaviervega468
      @xaviervega468 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Damian Ribera Considering Deion patterned his coverage game after Dick Lane I don't think it's far-fetched claim at all.

    • @damianribera3408
      @damianribera3408 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your claim makes no sense, that just makes Dick Lane pioneer of bump and run coverage. And I'm not even considering Deion as the best CB of all time, best COVERING corner yes, but the man could not tackle well enough to be considered the top. Rod Woodson, now that's a man worthy of the top spot.

    • @xaviervega468
      @xaviervega468 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Damian Ribera The technique Deion took from Lane wasn't bump and run. It was trailing the receiver and baiting the QB to throw your way. Then accelerating and picking the pass off. Dick Lane was doing that LONG before Deion and was really the first CB to do that.

    • @mylestate
      @mylestate 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Chuck NORRISS Haha, Deion retired 10 years ago and everyone still talks about him as a player. He won a Super Bowl with the 49ers beating the Cowboys along the way, then went to the Cowboys and beat the 49ers and won the next year. Hester retired last year & is already being forgotten because he sucked as a DB, he sucked as a WR and was a great PR, but never made a difference on a team that he was with.

    CB is arguably one of the toughest positions to play, it's incredibly difficult because it's soooo hard to be consistent. you can't sleep on any down, you gotta be locked in all 60 mins, because all it takes is one mistake for the receivers to capitalize. Sanders was an absolute beast, I mean seriously he had skills beyond. He could get in opponents heads quite easily, and used this to his advantage a lot. not to mention he also returned punts like a MADMAN, haha i mean seriously this guy isn't human

      Daniel Cobb I don't he was a hell of a player and in his prime could cover like no one's business. Also a great kick returner. After he lost a step of his speed though he couldn't jump routes like he used to and started getting burned A LOT more.

    His Bed bugs size play a big role in his football career. It was hard to see him coming. And it was very difficult to grab him.

    This dude played corner, punt and kickoff returns, and WR and was successful at all of them. The QB's didn't want to throw his way at all so with that being said he will ever be the best corner to play period.

    • @dennismccoy291
      @dennismccoy291 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      How many players you know were successful on both sides of the balland special teams. Anytime he touched the ball he was a threat to score. I never said he was a great tackler.

    • @xaviervega468
      @xaviervega468 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      He's a defensive player that doesn't tackle well. Tackling is THE fundamental skill of a defensive player. That's why I can't rate Deion that highly.

    A super fast and talented cover corner, a kick return maestro, even used on offense sometimes...one of the great all-around athletes-HOF, of course. He's also a real d-bag. And I don't ever recall him tackling anyone. Ever.

    How dare you compare Night Train Lane to Deion! Deion is by far the greatest corner of all time. If you think NTL is better, let me ask you one question. Did NTL ever have to cover Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin, Terrel Owens, or Cris Carter? Did NTL ever have to face QBs like Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, or Steve Young? Hell no he didn't! Deion covered the some of the greatest WRs and QBs in the HISTORY of the NFL. No one is better than Deion.

      +24juice22 and you gotta remember that his RB was Emmitt so you know they're going to him inside of the redzone instead of throwing it

      +24juice22 mannn please... Troy was GREAT, he ran that machine. you're talking about he only threw 20 tds in 1 season, if that was even true (which is not) it really doesn't matter because he's in the hall of fame and they look at all of the statistics so I'm positive you're claim is a lie.

      NO EVER LIKE HIM. TEAMMATES SAID HE WAS THE ULTIMATE TEAMMATE (ASK AIKMAN, IRVIN), AND PEOPLE NEVER UNDERSTOOD HIS HYPE WAS JUST THAT. HOW MANY PLAYER HAVE SCORED TD: RECEIVING, RUSHING, RETURNING PUNTS, RETURNING KICKOFFS, RETURNING FUMBLES, AND RETURNING INTERCEPTIONS? IN THE MODERN ERA. hESTER IS GREAT, BUT ISN'T A TERRORIST, A LOCK DOWN CORNERBACK, LIKE SANDERS WAS. AND I LOTHED HIM AT ONE TIME, BUT HESTER NEVER PLAYED MLB, I DON'T THINH.
