Thanks for watching. Lots more to come. If you're in Carrbridge, I stopped in the Carrbridge Hotel late last year, on my way to a job on Lewis. Great steak, good beer. Dave.

This is really helpful (as are all of your videos) - thank you! I'd never seen this method before, but saw it today on some driveway lighting. Single core cable running from the common of the first switch (attached to live) and then coming back from the second switch common, via the lights, and attached to neutral. No CPC connected at all though 😬

I was taught this method in college but I must admit I always dropped it in favour of the 5 wire method!
Great vid as always though Dave!

Different advantages with each method Andy. With older circuits you could across anything.
      Hope you're keeping well. Dave.

Is there a reason why this isn't the preferred method for 2 plate 2 way wiring, all the videos on TH-cam including your own usually show the method with 3 core and cpc between switches this just adds more cables and more complication ?

The biggest difference is that the permanent line input and the switched line output come from different switches. The more modern methods use a twin and earth to the same switch as permanent line and switched line. good question, thanks. Dave.
