2:20 sound shop in the 90s, the memories, also i thought Walden ised to be where Bath and Body works is now. Dollar Tree was directly in front of Chik fil a where the wall is now. Radio Shack was where the entrance to Marshalls is now, it was across from KB Toys. Burkes was a Goodys in the 2000s with a gamestop to the right of the entrance at 0:38. There was another arcade at the chik fil a entrance on the immediate left in the late 90s and early 2000s I remember the carpet then had the shapes on it. Like one long rectangle on each side. In the late 90s across from chik fil a near the entrance was a Pizza Place, i forgot its name tho. As a small kid in the early 90s, I remember there used to be a chinese buffet in there near one of the entrances.
I worked at the Apple House Cafeteria...I LOVED that job.Sundays after church was ALWAYS the worst..had a line out the door..for HOURS..I miss those days..but I don't miss rolling silverware.lol
There was also the cookie store caddy corner from corn dog 7, peanut shack, a foot locker down near endless summer, and a jewelry store on one of the corners around the stage (not Kay's).
Dale I saw the Nightmare on Elm Street at Kings Mountain-Bessemer City Drive in. You might have mentioned this but there was a Hallmark's Card shop in Cleveland Mall too. I really like going back in time, sometimes it makes you wish times were still like they were back then...
I live in Gastonia, NC. I go to Cleveland County Mall every chance I get. I love their Burke's store. I never imagined it used to be a Roses store, that's so cool. I love Roses. I just subscribed to your channel. Thanks for sharing this video. The Mall was super cool back in it's day. 👍
I remember the old put put front of the mall were McDonald's is now the mall was awesome place to go back in the 1980s Great memories Plus I used hangout at the arcade game room Dime and jims it's sad those days are Long gone
Early 90s There was a store called Armonds it was a women clothing store across from chick fi la also footlocker was there and eckerds was across from kB toys
You forgot about the old tobacco shop can't remember the name love the video such a better time in the old Jc s haunted house they used to put on right below Diamond Jim's maybe a video on the Lawndale power Dam or even Stacy's power down great job highly enjoyed Blanton's toy house was another great spot
Never knew this mall had anything note worthy, other than a sporting goods store and a couple fast food places. Lots of potential here. Wish sound shop was still there
I had forgot about burkes use to shop there all the time don't know how I could have forgot them thanks again, nice video oh yeah would love to have a corn dog they were the best
Also had Flickers arcade....probably where that other arcade was. And the cookie place on the other side of Sears. There was another arcade after Flickers left...I believe it was at JC Penny’s. And at one time Eckerd Drug was right beside Belks. And I think Belk had a separate kids store at that Eckerds location. I miss when the mall was the mall. Chick Fil-A and Belks as you said are the only two original stores. At least the mall Chick Fil-A has drive thru now.
Dale Elmore that’s the other arcade I was talking about. Also Five Guys was there beside where Penney’s was. (At the new movie theater). I still think if they had opened anywhere other than the mall they might still be open today. And I miss the Bible Book store.
I remember the Cleveland Mall and what it was like in the 90s. I remember Fines Clothing, Radio Shack, JC Penny - all gone. However, I really don't believe that internet shopping is to blame for the demise of the malls.
Flickers, another game room moved in after diamond Jim's moved out, after roses moved out, Goody's moved in and just outside of Goody's was GameStop! Radio Shack and super rx drug used to be where Marshall's is now! And Circus World was there before KB Toys! After sound shop moved out, chugga choo choo moved in! And Five guys used to be there in front of the theater as well as a pizza restaurant! And next to Sears was another jewelry store! I miss the old Cleveland Mall, it ain't nothing like it used to be now!

I worked at Diamond Jim's from '85-'88. There was an Eckerd's, Little Moo, Hungry Pig BBQ, a nail place and a hair place across from Eckerd's.
There was also the cookie store caddy corner from corn dog 7, peanut shack, a foot locker down near endless summer, and a jewelry store on one of the corners around the stage (not Kay's).
Kenney Shoes was directly across from Chick-Fil-a, The Gap was between Chick-Fil-a and Sound Shop...

You're right about the kids store that Belks had but it was just for "teenagers". My cousin worked there when she was in high school.

Close to Burke’s used to be a EB games which turned into GameStop.
The Cookie Factory in the middle of the mall.
Carolina Dairy had a location there too for a few years
