Louis Theroux has come such a long, long way since the mid 1990's when he was presenting those goofy segments on TV Nation. Since then, he's done Weird Weekends (occasionally tongue-in-cheek but mostly entertaining insights into various sub-cultures), When Louis Met (experimental series breaking the conventions of a traditional celebrity-journalist relationship) and all of his BBC2 specials. And you can see how much he has matured as a TV journalist and documentary maker over the years. In fact, you could already see differences during just his Weird Weekends phase. May he continue for many more years to come.
Good to hear Louis reflecting on his most memorable. Always liked his reporting/ interviewing style, very calm and personable. When Louis speaks to people he shows a polite respect that some people say is British influence. He engages people who then relax and open up, saying much more than they might if being interviewed with a ‘hard hitting’ style. Louis’ style puts nearly everyone at ease, from convicted criminals, sex workers or ‘the most hated family in America’. Great work Louis - what’s next ?
@@kevindurand7230 The dude in the blue sweater, Rodney Peterson, actually beat his murder case. He’s been back a couple times for little things, but I believe he is free right now.
My God, you mean he was surprised by this. Hell, I ran into this exact kind of stuff in 1972 in Oakland Courthouse Jail in Oakland, CA. They I got sent to gladiator school...... that was even worse..
I strive for this level of self awareness- a skill that makes him the best journalist of our time

I agree he has a beard now which shows his development why couldn't you have just come out and said it?
He'd shred Jimmy Savile apart now if he was alive and did another episode on himz he's grown and learnt so much since the first ones

Yeah that's jail.
Did Rodney get convicted ?.That Miami dade was like a Roman gladiator ring it doesn’t make sense but you have to survive
And if you can't bail out, you could easily be looking at years in the Miami megajail before your trial!
