I almost died in RCCG, running the errands as protocol, team nehemiah and special units leader/member. When I went down in a service and had to lay on the floor till service ended. Hubby took me home in pain and I thought it was ulcer pain. He left me at home the next day thinking I was fine only to become paralysed and unable to call for help. I was able to reach for my phone, rushed to the hospital and had a surgery. Only the Women leader who was a close friend followed up....in a whole province, II was discharged and no one cared. I refused not to lay my life as a church worker again. For the first time, province pastors wife came to visit because she was ashamed. That was my turning point. I could have died. I was in church 7days a week leaving 3 children at home. Province pastor and his wife could travel and leave the church in our care. I was the same age mate with the wife and I was running errands like a servant. I served in cash and kind but when I left, they became our sworn enemy. I'm glad I left. Thanks for sharing your life with the world.

Thank you for this, I can resonate with you ma. Married for 18 years to the love of my life, we both in ministry and so fulfilled in God and suddenly he dies without warning. To cut the story short he got buried last month and it feels like a nightmare knowing how much he loved to serve God and humanity.im struggling to cope right now and having 4 kids and my last being 6 years old makes it more heartbreaking. Nobody in this world can replace him. He was my mentor, pastor and best freind. I wish to speak with you personally ma.

It's not easy to do what you are doing. I wish you more grace to liberate people the more. I woke up from my own slumber in 2019 December. I am not looking back even though I am still in the church because of my husband. But wiser in my dealings with the manipulative one.

    Your story is touching.
    Your husband will make heaven.
Strive to get to where he is now.
He will be glad to welcome you.
He was far ahead of you in spiritual things.
The church is not the problem when men (of God) fail to meet our expectations.
    God is ever faithful.
The good works of your husband still speak for you today.
    Don't despair.
If you have another opportunity serve God.
    There is reward in it.

I guess you dont understand her video from your comment, her husband died of ignorance, Her ppoints alot have died through this means, being a slave doesnt mean you serve God more, for crying out loud he left 3 little children behind becos of his own ignorance that's not God's plan for man, if only he had listened to his wife....

@@maydvicky3316 God bless you. What happened to the man has nothing to do with the church. Like you said, he died of ignorance. There's nothing bad in going to the hospital as a christian when you're sick. In fact there're is always a series of topics in Sunday School around divine healing and going to the hospital when you are sick. This woman is just spreading propaganda and only God knows her intent.

Exactly,it was unfortunate and I feel sorry for this woman.Ignorance and religion is a great disease.aHer husband died of ignorance and these happened to insensitivity to the holy Spirit.I am sorry if I sound judgemental. How it was their ignorance that caused all.I am not exonerating the church, however religion blindfolded them.

The issue is that when men are serious with God they can easily be brainwashed by doctrine and nothing can change their mind.
This is an example for men to please listen to their wives.Thank you so much for sharing Ma

Your story is a journey many ministers have gone through not only in redeemed. People must learn balance in serving God, the church leadership must put systems in place to ensure there is no suffering on the part of the congregation and workers. Your family is your first ministry. Orthodox churchea hire staff to do some of the work. It is only in pentecostal churches that people are overworked without proper compensation. Like you rightly said, you were young and inexperienced in ministry. The work you were doing is for full time workers that are compensated. Thank God that you were serving your God sincerely and that He has kept you and preserved you and your children. May the Lord reward you for all your labor for the Lord. Your reward be is in heaven. THERE IS NO PERFECT CHURCH AND THERE ARE NO PERFECT LEADERS, THEY ARE ALL HUMAN AND CAN FAIL. WE pray they make the necessary changes to ensure the name of the Lord is not put to shame. Churches are run by human beings and not angels so they are likely to fail on some areas, if we did not see these things then the scriptures would be lying. It is only Jesus Christ that showed is the perfect example. Every other human can be overtaken by the flesh. The berean christians always went to double check what they were taught. Every church has a doctrinal short fall based on what they emphasize. At they end of the day, let us work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Paul said, follow me as I follow Christ. One of my teachers in Bible school said, you can make the Bible say what you want it to say. Let's be discerning and know what the will of God for our own lives is and follow it so we continue to serve the Lord with gladness wherever we are.
    ALL WILL BE WELL.
    Shalom

Thank you my sister, tell them, I don't know why Adunni is now painting RCCG, it's everywhere. They way Adunni is talking for me she out there to dent redeem and pastor Adeboye. Are you now saying this so that people will stop going to redeemed church? Fear God o. Sorry for the loss of your husband but this is not what you should be doing. It's totally wrong to the best of my knowledge. You should have just leave and let God be the judge.

We spend too much time in church instead of being productive. We have more churches than production facilities. This is a major problem. I saw a factory building that was converted to a church in benin city and I felt bad! How do we close down factories and open church to pray for jobs?

We are not ready for this conversation. Church in Nigeria has taken advantage of a lot of gullible people. I left as a church worker in 2020. I never looked back. Ordinary response to my text message from my pastor when I was terribly sick, just to say a word of prayers. He knows that I don’t need any money from him. Even when I recovered, no visit. Thank God for few of my team members that encouraged me. We worship men not God. Know God for yourself.

Even here in the UK, it's the same. When you decide to leave, you become their enemy. They will start sending you Hell fire movies, claiming they sent to all members but it's all lies, as no other member said such movie was sent to them. They're indirectly trying to say one will go to Hell for leaving or saying your truth. So sad! So so pathetic! When I left after 10yrs, it was like a great burden was taken off my chest. I believe in God and in the power of the Holy Spirit but the way we practise Christianity in some of our African churches isn't it at all.

A widow is more or less alone, especially in Africa. I remember the day I knelt to ask God for strength, to be strong for myself and my children and not to depend on man. Up unto this day, I still talk to my late husband, because I believe he wouldn't desert me and our children... God is forever faithful my sister. it takes some time but gradually we learn to live without our departed loved ones...It is well, and I thank God for the strength you have to share your experience.

I have my experience about this and knows your pain.
I am so sorry for your loss due to apostolic witchcraft in these our so called new generation churches.
People give their all and are left to suffer in the midst of plenty.
The early church had everything in common and none lacked anything.
However, these new fake definition of Christianity makes alleluyah the only thing that believers have in common.
I worked away from them for years now and never looked back though still in faith but with a new orientation that the holy ghost only can give.
May the truth you are propagating set people free from the worship of men to the worship of God.
    God bless you ma.

From this Part 3! It was like your late husband did all he did to pls man, trying to compare himself to daddy Adeboye. The Bible say we should look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our Faith. In any denomination you worship do all you do to the glory of God, expecting nothing from any man. I experienced same disappointment when mom passed on.

You're such a strong woman whom genuinely loved her husband unlike today's women. Love then was more real and genuine than today. It's so sad that your husband died a very avoidable death because of one man's doctrine. It's painful.
As for me, I have never been a church worker, I go to church but I never associate myself with any activity, once Church close, I go my house, nobody for my Church know me, some might know me by appearance but I'm sure they don't know my name, I no dey any church group, men, women, youth, teenagers, children anyone I no dey. I just dey on my own. I saw Church as a social gathering. That was when I've grown though. In my case, my mum was the church person, my father never went to church and was always laughing at us going to church, he would look at us like "one day you people will have sense" . I used to feel guilty at times about not being involved in church activities, about not working in the vineyard of the Lord. But when I take a closer look, I no dey see pastor children for any department. Pastor's children are always in the main church during service while their mates will be children section. So they're more special than other children. Pastors children can never be in sanitation dept. Never!!!. All these are all doctrines of men. I've stopped going to Church for over a year now and I'm not dead yet. I thought the worst calamity will before me if I stopped going to church.
On tithing and first fruit, if your pastor can show us who he pays his own tithe and first fruits to, then I will follow, abi them too no wan go heaven ni, or are they the god we serve??
I don comot hand for church matter.
Thank you for sharing your experience.

My sister may the very God of heaven whom you represent bless, empower and engrace you. May God protect you and your family from the attact of unreasonble blind "church" members who would rather fight to protect a "church" and their "GOs" but are daily bringing and allowing shame and insult on the very name of Christ. May God bless you. I also had my experience but mine was such that i refuse the satanic web and rejected it at once!

I sympathise on her loss. It was quite traumatic because it was at a young age. Please being zealous without understanding what it means to be a christian is dangerous.Nobody forces anyone to take the position of a pastor if that is not your calling. When you accept to be so, you know the condition. I believe wives should be carried along and when led with her consent too there will be no complaints about the work or the church. Be a partner and friend with the Holy Spirit for direction and guidance all the time in decision taking so that there will be no " had I know"

I suffered too much, am in UK still managing my life with no family support 😭. Am even scared of going to church now bc they did not really give a toss abt me. The church failed me , so I stopped. I went through PTSD, flash back and depression even till now, I started wearing glasses too bc I cried so much in my closet. God will help us😓

Sister Adunni, so sorry for your loss. So proud and inspired by your story. God bless you for this brave post. Tell your viewers yo read the book for Colossians 2. Pay particular attention to vs 8, 15-23. Christ has paid the price, don't let any man, any woman deceive you. Read, study your bible and pray to God with your own mouth. He will answer you. Weldone ma. You've been through a lot. Anyone who has been to a one-man church can not relate or understand at all. I was in one of such churches for 6years, and I almost hated and almost vowed never to go to any church again. I even told my children as young as they were that even if it's raining fire in a one-man church, they should never step into any. So ma, All you have said about one-man church is nothing but truth.
But I beg you in the name of Jesus Christ, please don't take it to the extreme of never going to church again. Just carefully check which one to go too. Even myself, I could not go to church for a few months and have to take my time to study my current church for about four months before I joined. Definitely not a one-man church this time.

Tnx definitely not one man church when I’m ready. I just stopped three years ago. I stopped after my kids were been dragged to be workers in church. I won’t do that to them. They are very active kids so the pastor wife was already eyeing them as workers 😂

You have really spoken well may the Lord continue to be your strength. However I wish to say do not forsake the fellowship of the brethren remember we need ourselves. Also if touching the altar did not give u a child that there are more spiritual people who touch and did not receive like u. If you u doubt the miraculous what of parting of the red sea, Lazarus, woman with the issue of blood etc. Please Jesus is still in the business of doing the miraculous. Keep your faith, I hope u still believe in Jesus as your Lord and saviour. RCCG may have their faults, churches may have their faults but Jesus is perfect so make him the author and the finisher of your faith, God still answer prayers shalom

I am so sorry to hear about how your husband passed. So sorry "church " did this to you. Jesus HIMSELF loves you. Cleave to Him and nurture your relationship with Him. When you are healed and ready, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to a church where the love of Christ is all you see and experience. No slavery! No theft from the pulpit!
What you have described sounds like a cult. And God will judge all cult leaders! You may wish to check out an episode on cults in Navigating Narcissism by Dr Ramani.
Sending you hugs and kisses. ❤

What you said is true about RCCG that i stopped attending. The HQ demands much without any input. Papa Adeboye's sons dont start parish from the scratch but posted to already made church; Leke is even warming up to take over City of David and RCCG at Large. God help his church. The only help you can get from RCCG comes from member's who have giving spirit. Their schools built with church members money are unapproachable by church members. They collect aims from the church and redistribute to the poor in the name of the church often. The christianity in Nigeria differs from that of the white missionaries who offered sacrificial services: built free schools, hospital, infrastructures without tasking the members
