    Ram Dass - Here and Now - Ep. 85 - Dharmic Fire: beherenownetwork.com/ram-dass...
    ================
    “The predicament is that once you awaken you cannot go back to sleep. You will try with all of your ingenuity, I absolutely assure you… because what lies before you is the fire and burn baby burn.”
    Ram Dass’ precise enquiry into the real nature of purification and liberation - jumping into your own individuated Dharmic fire, not ignoring your weaknesses and neuroses. The bliss is one part, the reality of life on Earth at this moment is another - he firmly suggests embracing all of it. There is “no irrelevancy in the whole system” he says and this includes suffering and loss and major difficulties. Ram Dass’s expliqué of the long, incarnational progression is particularly exquisite in this talk - detailing the gradually emergent, awakened embodiment and then the ineffable potential of the bodhisattva manifestation.

      Thank you! I like hearing it just as a surprise as being at the talk for the first time. Even when I listen to one again and again. 🙏🏽💜🥰

    This talk.. wow. It must be in our dharma to find this video. friends and fellow seekers.
    I’m here because I’m scared for my future, tired of my fear and have glimpses of peace so profound there is no going back.

    I'm listening, outside doing a little gardening, I look up, and see a wasp fly by carrying a grasshopper. I ponder the meaning.

    When he mentions us being horrified at the blood on the snow. I feel this sentiment when I see roadkill…. I see the harmony everywhere and I seem to be able to reconcile it... I can really feel the perfection of it all in the context of time and the self being an illusion based on imagined temporal constraints built into our subconscious deeply through the nature of language being based on the idea that there is more than just the present moment….(tenses) and it leads into the acculturated fear of death, and consequently the aversion to suffering, even of a noble kind. Which is all made perfect if you break the temporal constraints and the craving of the body , time, and ego.
    Then there are the moments of synchronicity. Something too poetic to be random. ..

      objectivity gate that was gorgeously horrific and explained my own sudden unbearable depression when I see or hear of any pain coming to an animal. I, too, can deal with any kind of pain I hear has occurred to a human so much more easily. You are a gifted writer.

      What a direct expression! Wow So articulate. You see clearly. Such unbearable pain and also unbearable Joy. It is sometimes easy to forget and be sucked in and that's why we are living in this beautiful and horrible reality. Eternity surrounds us in the eternal now. Brought me to tears!

      David Telford Wow! He is holding forth tonight!!! I was waiting the whole time for him to say your quote, since I saw your comment. , When he finally did, I had to let out a cheer and a whoop!!! Woo!! This is definitely one of the talks that deals more with the advanced side of the practice. It reminds me of watts when he gets “into it” and he definitely is pushing us tonight to practice harder than we ever have.

    Just ate a peice of pizza last night. Maybe the first time in months I've even heard someone say the word pizza. So much cosmic humor 😂
