- A mother in law is disrespectful to daughter-in-law, she isn't from a wealthy family or has a high paying job. The moth-in-law didn't see how wrong she was until her son showed her.
She was being judgemental and disrespectful to her for no real reason and never noticed all of the things her daughter-in-law was doing for her and her son.

When I met my husband I was working carried on working next 4 to 5 years (can't remember exact date) but we both decided that it best I would stay home this before we got married due to the fact that we lived an hour away from work add 20 minutes with traffic. This didn't sit well with his family. I was accused of so many things. I did not get to study as planned we ended up fostering 2 children in need of a home and loads of love and care. This fid not sit well with my husband's family at all and his friends.. Basically they ended up giving him an ultimatum and said it's them or me. From His own daughter and sister and mother and friends and their entourage were in raged. We were rejected by all. Nonetheless, we carried on with our lives. Sometimes, things just don't work out as planned. With all that happened the trials and tribulations - life is difficult as it is, drama that us sp unnecessary causes so much more mindless and stupid ignorant drama that could have been avoided by simply being happy for their son, father, brother and friend. They could have offered support instead of... They could have been kind instead of....
Mother Teresa called a fat man '' pregnant'' one time. She was a body- shamer . I hate body shamers and bullies .

Nursing is actually the best job. Nurses do a lot that we can imagine. The husband is such a loving man and the mum was quick to judge but at least in the end she rectified it.

Mother in law? More like monster in law! Being a nurse is a real job, because they work and save lives. Plus the wife takes care of the house, her husband and mom in law. I am proud that the husband stud up to his mom! Glad the mom in law finally realized how much her daughter in law loves her and her son/ the husband.

Yeah a story character im working on is a carer. Ironically she's an undercover grim reaper. But she's had a lot of positive comments about how she cares for the residents before and after death. As she works in palliative care

@K P In the end, he may be paying for her school. But she's still trying to get a job, meaning she is trying to get a job to make a living, not just sit at home feeding of the earnings of others. So she may be using some of his money but not completely living off of him forever

It's annoying hearing some jobs aren't jobs. My stepmom was a nurse for a long time. It wasn't easy for her, especially when she waitress at ground pattie as a second job for 20 years.

1) ''Nursing is not a real job''. Never have I heard such a nonsense statement before. Nursing is very much a job and I have worked closely with nurses and they have helped me with my work. They work all day and all night looking after patients and managing them under horrendous pressure and difficulty, sometimes they don't eat or get any rest. They were the ones bringing me a cup of tea at the end of a difficult day (of course I brought them stuff as well). I'll never forget that.
Try doing their job and saying that.

But I know how it is, I have relatives with impossible standards who criticise everything that my family and I have done. This is why we don't talk to them anymore.
If my husband's mom ever treated me like that, I'd tell her "Get the hell out of my house!! NOW!!" and shove her out the door, throw her stuff in her face, slam the door, and lock it. And of course I'd get the locks on the doors changed.

If some one treated me that way I wouldn’t sit there and say “it’s fine” I would kick her out of the house and not let her come back until she stopped
You wouldn't put up with that from anyone else but when it is a relative of your spouse, you might tolerate it to an extent because of your love for your spouse. Everyone's different though.
