The Noosphere in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 feels a lot like Carl Jung's concept of the collective unconscious, but limited to a planetary scale. Jung's collective unconscious is about a shared layer of the unconscious mind that connects all humans through universal archetypes and inherited psychic structures. The Noosphere seems similar, acting as a network of human thoughts, emotions, and will. The key difference is that Jung's idea is more metaphorical and psychological, while the Noosphere in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has physical consequences, like anomalies and artifacts. It's like a sci-fi take on how human consciousness could shape reality itself. Plus, the Noosphere is tied specifically to Earth's biosphere, unlike Jung's universal concept. It's almost like the series asks, "What happens when we mess with something as vast and unknowable as collective thought?" Definitely a cool way to explore the link between humanity, nature, and the unknown.
Hell yeah, love your lore videos man, you always cover my favorite games and do a fantastic job narrating and telling the story, thank you for your work bro
Thanks for the lore recap! I just started my first Clear Sky playthrough to celebrate the release of the new game (gonna wait til it's on sale to pick it up) and while I know the story enough to start the new game whenever, it's nice to have a recap.
Love these catch ups. Have you considered Wolfenstein? There doesn't seem to be a proper lore history of the series on TH-cam for people playing the newer games.
I can imagine Wisefish in this game explaining everything here around a campfire as another stalker plays a guitar as a few others listen in to the story of The Zone. Honestly that sounds really cool and wholesome. Stalker is filled with so much rich lore, the history of The Zone, the factions who carved out their own territory, the mutants who thrive inside, and so much more. So having a lore video to celebrate the release of the new game is very welcome and I really hope there's more Stalker lore videos to come sometime in the future.
Honestly there was no way the military was going to succeed in keeping people out of the zone especially since they don’t have the necessary resources to do that and walling it off would take too much time.🐱
I think they were just trying to do what they could because they have seen what the Zone has birthed and with all the other countries like NATO coming in trying to grab any artifacts, information and maybe even mutants l, eventually it could be disastrous for the whole world not to mention the rich or people pulling the strings wanting to get their hearts desire with the “Wish Granter” not knowing it actually expands the Zone
My god, turn down that FOV man, please! My brain is getting scorched just watching the vistas. Amazing collection of lore tho. Very well put together video.
Hope you all enjoy the Stalker lore. Hope you all want to see some more later!
The Zone calls to its children. Praise the Monolith.

@@brandedtexas5599 How human is this, the tendency to praise illusions even after knowing they are man made.

Oh thank god I was worried I was going to load into this game blind and just be lost and yelling “THIS ISNT METRO!”
@@PoisedK1NG_P1N There's only Metro...

Is this going to be a new ongoing Lore breakdown? Because there is, in my opinion, Nobody good who can present, if you know what I mean.
