    I love watching these old movie previews and concession ads! Takes me back to a much simpler time. Why can't life be like that today?

    I love the intermission ads. Even when i am running errands, i turn on my phone to the TH-cam drive-in ads and have it come through my speakers in my SUV.

    while people were piling into the concession stand my mom would pop open a cooler from the trunk and haul out sodas, beer, sandwiches chips candy, we'd sit there and watch people drop their drinks on the way back to the car. thanks for that memory of the Tijeras Drive-in Albuquerque

    Both the concession attendant and the alien have great attitudes in this ad. I always enjoy seeing this one.

    They had the national anthem before movies?! That must have been a pain in the drive in. There's no way I could stand up in my car.

      +SantaDog81 I think in the closing the National Anthem had been played.

    Interesting thing about the national anthem was I had a neighbor who was a retired Air Force sergeant and at the base theater would play it before the beginning of the film.

    • @PlasmaCoolantLeak
      @PlasmaCoolantLeak 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I remember that. The anthem would come up, the audience stood at attention.

      @@PlasmaCoolantLeak yes. They did the same with his kids when they took them to the base movie theater for the Saturday and Sunday matinee which consists of movies which were children and families would enjoy watching.

    The begining intermission up to 12:59 animation was produced by Kling(Fred Niles Productions). Animators include Don Williams, Cal Dalton, Lloyd Vaughn, Ed Aardal, and Rudy Cataldi who was also animation director. Layout and Design were by Ed Levitt, Don Sheppard, and Jerry Bowen. Bob Givens was background supervisor. Barbara Begg, and Gordon Ipsen are among the background artists. Annie Lee Holmes supervised Ink & Paint, Manon Washburn and Gloria Estrada were among the cel painters. Lavelle Haines was a final checker. Lou Shiemer's autobiography mentions somebody named Roy who did assistant animation. Sheimer had begin his career at Kling.
