Appreciate the review... But I cringed when you were describing the accessories. The clear canopy is for when they go underwater and the solid canopy was armor, during battle or when they went underground. But with that being said... If you add accessories like that, the tank better roll so you can actually play with it. So I'm kinda disappointed, but I'm glad we finally got an in-scale tank compared to the original, and the 2011 version. I would love to see them take a crack at that monster.

I debated for months on whether I wanted to spend this much money on a Super7 product, and my FOMO got the best of me. I think it will be a nice looking display piece when I get it. But yeah, $500 for a vehicle that can't move properly, and doesn't have dials that turn or lighting effects is really disappointing. And by the way, my Invisible Tygra also has messed up paint around the insignia. This figure barely has paint on it, and still with the QC issues?
Great video on the Thundertank! Still waiting for mine to arrive,I know what I'm getting and am thankful for it. I tend to keep my personal feelings about Super7 to my self,I don't bash them because I appreciate what they do,but also as a consumer spending my hard earned money I can call them on their BS. They really need to do better,better deadlines and better quality control. I also do wish they start cranking out more figures a wave instead of 4 it would be great if they'd give us 6.All in all I like what they've done for Thundercats. I don't think expecting Super7 to "do better" is bashing. That's just being honest, and they deserve to be called out on their questionable features or lack thereof when releasing something at this price point.
Great review. Pretty cool looking piece overall. That price is just too crazy for me though, for what this is. I would like to see S7 produce a Cat's Lair but I shutter imagining the price tag.
I'd suggest that you don't have to put both of the figure's feet on the pegs. You could have him posed with one foot stepped up on the platform, which would put him further back and lower down from the controls, but should still be supported enough by the one peg to be stable.
I love Thundercats but I passed on ordering because of the price. It was not worth it to me. My Thundercats will just hangout with my MOTU Classics at Castle Grayskull. This looks like a cool display piece but it looks like diehard Thundercats fans will enjoy this.
It looks amazing!!! If I had a place to put it, I would definitely buy one! To me it's a display piece. The Thundertank I would have loved to have as a kid but my parents would never have bought. And I wouldn't let my kids play with it either.
For the price they should have went far and beyond. I want lights, shooting missles, a grappling hook etc.. Just disappointed overall, maybe a 300 price point.
Mine just arrived, and while the size and sculpt is impressive, that's all that it really has going for it. It's been so long since the pre-order that I forgot how much I paid, and now I definitely have some buyer's remorse and sticker shock after handling it. Unfortunately, the value just isn't there at this price point, and this definitely doesn't feel fully realized or finished. There wasn't any room to add any play features to the back half, but they could have had some flip down external panels to reveal circuitry or something on the back. Same for the front, except there, there's is actually a space where a battery pack and speaker could have fit under the nose canon. They could have added engine sounds and blaster sounds or had the ThunderCats theme play. Anything would have been good. Lighting the eyes would have been easy, as well. Instead, they did nothing with that space. Why not make the panel in the mouth flip down to expose a slide out engine or something for Panthro to work on or repair? This thing just feels lazy. The tank treads are a real mystery. They will turn, but only with extreme effort as the rubber is not very flexible and has molded to the resting shape. Why not use a different material? If they didn't intend it to roll, then why put rolling wheels under the front and arms and why have the treads be able to move at all? I would have preferred another roller similar to front added to the back. It's not like you're going to be zooming something of this size around, but still. For the money, this should've been able to roll with or without the treads moving. Again, seems lazy on Super7's part. I'm glad that I have it, but lesson learned. This will be the last large-scale vehicle that I will ever buy.
should have an opening door at the back and those seats should have been movable/ removable same with the cannon circular base - lack of paint details and instead of that thundrelium (am i right?) they could have incorporated other gimmicks - i think mine would arrive by May - great review

I’d be a bit more angry about those treads. Maybe Panthro’s wrench thingie is needed TK get them to roll better. The front canopy looks fantastic clear or opaque. The front paws look good. It’s a big box in the back. The gun platform doesn’t raise up? Shame. The Cats look good inside especially the cockpit.

This dwarfs the hiss tank so I dont think it's a good comparison. Also the hiss tank comes with a bunch of figures that are really unnecessary. The thunder tank is massive.

I'm just glad the plastic isn't their usual cheap and glossy material. Regardless, I gave up my preorder for cruise money. Hiss tank and neca turtle van are better priced.
I love this line, but I think vehicles in this scale just aren't viable for most. $500 is a lot and the space it takes up isn't something I can give up. For this price, I can get two full waves or more of Super 7 Ultimates. Happy for those that wanted it, good luck finding a spot for it lol.
Well now I'm actually glad I didn't get this. And you're right with the comparison to has lab hiss tank. It just doesn't deliver on the price, looks great but quite underwhelming as a whole.

Some painted shading would have been nice, Too many parts look like cheap plastic with no shading. Hot Toys Back to the Future Delorean is miles ahead for $780. Happy to have it, but Super 7 could’ve added more value.
As soon as I saw the tank , I straight teleport to the messages. I think for $500 super7 could of done a better job in the inside. They could of added like switches and paint other thing on the tank to make it more realistic.

I am a Thundercat fan, and I was looking forward to this. I see it as a "sculpture" rather than a toy. Yet, if the treads don't move easily and the figures can sit still, $500 is a bit too much. Rather than the Thundrillium, perhaps some seatbelts for the four back seats would be good?! May cancel my order....
Okay I have a serious problem with this toy. FIRST of all..... For a 400.00 toy you don't get any electronics, nothing lights up, and it's just a big chunk of sculpted plastic... THAT'S IT!!! Is so cheap, just moulded plastic, almost no paint. Handles that don't move (at least the one that spin should move). Those rubber threads will probably become sticky and don't even roll. Figures can't grab the cannon properly, no effect pieces for the cannons. No engine to fix for panthro. That thundrilium box not even painted a bit, not to mention they could give it as separate pieces/rocks to put in the tank mouth (to recreate those scenes). This thing looks more like someone design a pretty cool thunder tank to 3d print but not at all something manufactured to be sold like it is. This company is a joke, barely scammers.
