I remember delving into the mysterious island of Myst on my parents old Macintosh back in the mid 90s. I was captivated by its inquisitive nature and point-and-click style, but alas, I had generally no idea what I was doing.
Fast forward 20 some years later, and I was overjoyed to find it had made its way digitally to modern consoles. With a sharpened mind (and the aid of the internet) I made my way through Myst's various puzzles.
It is definitely a game that takes a level of patience. While on the outside, its imagery is gorgeous in a perplexing sort of way, its story offers little context and there is no soundtrack outside of the brief epilogue. All in all, I still consider Myst to be one of the top walking sims of all time, inspiring many future titles.
