My involvement in the hobby is basically watching your videos and maybe buying an occasional retail pack/box. I've been priced out and can no longer justify it anymore.
It’s really sad where the hobby is at these days. I’ve switched to mostly buying singles. Still love watching your channel, go way back with you but don’t comment that much. Keep up the honest takes and we will all keep watching!

This is the first video of yours I watched, and man, you aint wrong. I just got back into the hobby this last year. Its outrageous what they are charging. It's absolutely ridiculous.
First year this was released i remember there were vet and hall of famer autos in 50%+ of every case where u recoup more money from the boxes then u can now, alot seem to b rookie autos of alot of guys ive never heard of and i like to think i follow baseball pretty good!! Unfortunately these followed suit with the other 10 cases or so i saw opened...
You are correct, the prices have gone to far. Ive stopped buying boxes and now just buy the singles I like, (mostly Tom Brady Psa 10s). As long as people keep paying the price nothing will change.

That tigers guy just got traded to the dodgers and DFA'd a few days later. I agree at 200 price point you should be getting a better card than that.

How to turn $400 into $75. Card companies are just laughing all the way to the bank. Doesn't help that the LCS is selling this stuff @ $300 a pop. That's absolutely criminal.

It depends...if u hit u get a good deal, but yes after everyone buys spots they hold amount paid is more then the price of the boxes...but Mr maniac doesn't tax nearly as much as everyone else...u gotta consider the supplies and shipping he doesn't make much if any most of the time...that's y his breaks sell out within a minute of being posted...
@@BrandonWardell-fe2gg ya he seems like an honest guy. Was talking about as a whole tho, if breakers make products sell-out every year then Topps will always raise the prices of hobby boxes the next year
@@BensBaseballAddiction ya ur definitely right, especially the ones tryna break a bunch of blasters...I've seen 10 blasters where it added up to being 70$ a box!! It wasn't like 2018 stuff either where that would b ok but it was newer stuff where at most the paid 350 for the 10 boxes, maybe less if they bought a case!! If im thinking about joining a break I'll add up all the spots to see how bad they're taxing...that's y I've only done 2 breaks in my life,even after like 3 or 4 years of following Mr maniac I'm still not fast enough to get in a break yet, when I am I'm broke lol

If people stopped buying this overpriced stuff, things would change. $200 for 4 or 5 cards is disgusting. I freaking love baseball, and collecting baseball cards, but stuff like this is ridiculous. On the other hand, I don't have to buy it. Thanks for sharing, brother!!

Quit buying these products. They are preying on you. I quit buying expensive stuff a couple years ago and just buy singles for my pc. If I feel like ripping some packs I'll buy some cheap retail. Channels like yours are why I watch "sucker rips". No hate on you, but you have to realize you are buying children's lottery tickets.
