Why? He absolutely hates the Jets and why would he go into that situation in the middle of the season. There is literally no upside here for him and have I mentioned he absolutely hates the Jets?
If he resigned as the HC of the NYJ specifically because Woody Johnson was buying the team, what about the last 25 years of incompetence would change Bill’s mind?
The first decision made by the new Jets coach was to reduce Nathaniel Hackett's job to holding Aaron's towel when he's in the game. No more play calling. LOL
I need this explained to me like a child: Why can everything be solved with Brady or Bellichik? Why can't sports media let these two be? I take nothing away from Bellichik's achievements, but it boggles me how he gets this free pass by the media to coach anywhere after his last couple seasons in New England. What about Mike Vrabel? Pete Carroll?
Because even to the most casual football fan, they’re still the most recognizable names in the sport. The media will still spout their names to garner more eyeballs. Nothing more.
Bill Cowher has not coached for an NFL team for 17 years. He’s not coming back. Let’s mention the other name that comes up in these situations…Jon Gruden! Oh wait, he’s a pariah now. No one is taking that job until next season. Woody Johnson fired Robert Saleh with a 2-3 record. Great move. The only reason Woody Johnson isn’t the worst owner in the NFL is because Dave Tepper is still the owner of the Carolina Panthers.
Why do people keep thinking Belichick would even consider the Jets? He h@tes them with a passion. He literally left the Jets due to uncertainty with the sale of the team. Woody has proven to be a bad owner. Woody speaks to the media too much, Belichick can't stand that. They hired Eric Mangini from the Patriots when Belichick was the Patriots HC. The Jets and Eric Mangini played a big role in snitching on Belichick for Spygate. Belichick wouldn't tolerate Jerry Jones as an owner because he gets too involved in the team and the coaches business. Woody isn't as bad as Jerry with that, but he still does it a little. Belichick wants an owner like Kraft that stays in his lane, doesn't go to the media, and just let's him do his thing. Belichick would never consider the Jets. There isn't anything that he likes about that organization, he spent years trying to screw them over, and there is a lot of bad blood there. Please stop wasting time even discussing it. You would have to pay him $100+ million a year and I bet he would do everything to screw the Jets. He would probably trade all of their draft picks to the Patriots or something to put the 🔪 in their side and watch them bleed out. Lol
Ben Johnson (OC of the Lions) is my favorite for the Jets head coaching gig. Defense isn’t the issue, it’s the offense that’s in dire need of a kickstart. He’s done wonders for the Lions offense. Making them one of the potent offenses in the NFL. It wouldn’t hurt the Jets organization to give him an interview and see what he can do. Vrabel isn’t a bad choice, but the Jets need someone more forward-thinking in their approach.
This is the problem with sports talk shows. Since its only entertainment not the news people will say anything to draw attention. The bigger the name the better and there's no name bigger than Aaron Rodgers. He's the reason why the O-line can't pick up the blitz. He's the reason why the O-line can't create lanes for the run. He's the reason why he's been sacked a season's amount in 5 weeks.
Okay. So, assuming everything you said is true, is watching the video and writing your comment encouraging more or less of precisely the behavior you describe? (Hint: MORE.)
@@Survivor_of_DMVdrivers I didn’t say Bill would be willing to listen, I’m saying that the Browns would be desperate enough to make a call to distract from the Watson debacle.
I'm sorry, but this is such a stupid take. Why would a Canton-bound HC, probably the greatest to ever do it, go to cursed organization in the middle of the season & answer to an owner he genuinely loathes? And at this stage in his long life? Makes no goddamn sense, and there's no amount of money which he'd be tempted with. Period. Don't debate these facts.
write this down...jets are a terrible run organization and made huge mistake trading for rodgers.....hes washed and barely average...OC needs to go, rodgers needs to go...start over and try once again to draft franchise qb
So he could have one year of Aaron Rodgers and then go back to the same situation he was in with no QB in New England? Besides his girlfriend isn't old enough to legally drink in New York.
My god Rodgers said himself he needs to hold himself accountable too. What the hell is wrong with all you crazies?? Why does everyone hate him so much? Give me more than “he’s a diva.” Please give me an example I’m so confused. Seems like a great guy to me
An example of him being a diva? Sure. (1) On his new team with new teammates, he does not play any pre-season games and does not attend the mandatory mini-camp for the team so there is no rapport at the start of the season. (2) Is insistence on Hackett being the OC because apparently "the two became brothers" in Green Bay when this crappy, outdated play calling is the main issue with this team (3) Insisting on playing GM for the Jets and undermining the coach with (in addition to Hackett)...making sure Tim Boyle is the backup QB, Lazard is the WR, (4) Rodgers being childish in Green Bay when they drafted Jordan Love and calling out the young receivers there (who seem to be having absolutely no problem there now) (5) All of his lying and crazy political crap during the covid thing and saying he was immunized when he knew this was a lie and stated this on Joe Rogan. (6) Stupid quotes like "anything that we're doing in this building that has nothing to do with winning needs to be reassessed" and then....see numbers 1, 2 and 3. . He says he needs to hold himself accountable, yet he never does.
Duh "He hates the Jets, why would he go there" Because the D is championship level D. Funny how peoples views change when they get offered to be the highest paid coach in the NFL.
I’m guessing Bill Regrets not Calling up the Washington Commanders Owner and Begging him to hire him as their HC Jayden Daniels is looking like a STUD! (Barring an Injury) he will likely win Offensive Rookie of the Year AND possibly even in the League MVP CONVERSATION (I am a DIE HARD VIKINGS FAN) But this kid is Lighting it Up!
Why? He absolutely hates the Jets and why would he go into that situation in the middle of the season. There is literally no upside here for him and have I mentioned he absolutely hates the Jets?
I think a crucial point you are missing is that he absolutely hates the Jets
And don’t forget that he hates the jets
He hates Woody Johnson...aaaaaannnd the NY Jets 😅
If he resigned as the HC of the NYJ specifically because Woody Johnson was buying the team, what about the last 25 years of incompetence would change Bill’s mind?
This! Sounds like this goofus in this video doesnt know his NFL history
This right here. Belichick is too smart to enter that shitstorm that is the NY Jets
I would do it. I can be a shitty coach too
Agree 100%. Bill isn't touching this dumpster fire.
The first decision made by the new Jets coach was to reduce Nathaniel Hackett's job to holding Aaron's towel when he's in the game. No more play calling. LOL
I feel like Belichick would schedule the interview just to walk in and tell ownership to suck it.
"We prefer to win" 🤣

Because the sports media personalities are not good analysts
Pete Carroll has the dumbest call in the history of the N.F.L. and Bellicheck been winning rings since the Giants

bill belichick and aaron rodgers would not work
The chances of BB being the HC of NYJ is exactly... ZERO Not a chance.
AS makes some great points (as he usually does). But truly, who thinks that the future of the NY Jets is a 41yo QB playing for a 72yo coach?
nobody. they didn't get AR worried about 2028. they got him to try and win in 2023 and 2024.
Why would the Jets think that they need two head coaches? They finally just went down to one.
Belichick wouldn't piss on Woody Johnson or the Jets if they were on fire.
Teams are ran by owners that have trained themselves to NEVER think past 3 months.
Have a listen to Bill's podcast with Lombardi and Patricia. I don't think the Jets will be calling.
No they don’t.

He was GREAT when he had TOM BRADY and making Patrica OC was crazy 🤪
to be fair they won those first 3 SB largely bc of their defense but the game has changed a lot since then.

As long as Woody Johnson is around, then it's never happening

Bill will be the HC in Philly next season.
If things keep going south with Watson and Stefanski, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Browns make a call to the hooded one.

Not cursed. Jets have an owner that is always meddling behind the curtains. Incompetence at the highest level permeates the whole organization.
I don't understand why Woody would call Bill just to get hung up on, or possibly sent straight to voice mail.
write this down...jets are a terrible run organization and made huge mistake trading for rodgers.....hes washed and barely average...OC needs to go, rodgers needs to go...start over and try once again to draft franchise qb
NFL Network was/is stupid for releasing Andrew from it's lineups.
When you beat them in this case why not join them
Do they? We all know it will be no.
Belichick wants the NY Giants job and he will get it after this season. I don't know that's true, but it was fun to say.
it would be amazing if they Hired BB as HC if NYJ and he quit 2 days later again.
Its things like this that make me realize "sports experts" are idiots.
As a packers fan i would 100% bet against Rodgers in January. Dude is a choker.
Nonsense. Belichick's time has come and gone, and nobody wants an ancient head coach these days.
Maybe Jimmy Johnson wants to give coaching another go
Hackett is the problem. They're too afraid to get rid of him because he's Rodger's little buddy
So he could have one year of Aaron Rodgers and then go back to the same situation he was in with no QB in New England? Besides his girlfriend isn't old enough to legally drink in New York.
Bill is waiting for the Dallas job
Give Cowher a blank check to write in his amount
Too old, and too old school
He is in town, but he has not coached in a long time and probably does not want to.
You’re embarrassing yourself

Umm maybe he’ll actually get them prepared to play football and not come out slow
I think 2025 might just have to be a tank year for the Jets. Arch Manning is two drafts away, and I’d be stunned if he didn’t go first overall.
The Giants are kinda in the same boat. Lol hilarious race this would be
You're crazy, we dont want or need Blichek
Kliff Kingsbury with a new QB.
Belichick is not the answer
I'd get Vrabel.
Duh "He hates the Jets, why would he go there" Because the D is championship level D. Funny how peoples views change when they get offered to be the highest paid coach in the NFL.
